I've been Burgled!!!!!!!!!!!

It'a clear to me that these young victims of an unjust society fell victim, once again, to the stresses of peer pressure. Presumably the fire extinguisher was left unattended and unsecured. Why don't you just tape a twenty dollar bill to the lamp-post, and see how long it lasts. How long must our children suffer the temptations flaunted at them by a callous, mean-spirited member of the petit bourgeois? Shame on you!

As Larry the cable guy would say. "I don't care who you are, now that theres funny!"

I feel your pain. Back in 1990 I had some gol darn dag nabbit son of a thief cut a 500 dollar cockpit cover on a boat in winter storage just so he could go into it and decide that cheap radio it had in it wasn't worth stealing. Also had my lovely Michigan Wheel stainless steel propeller painted to look like a rather battered aluminum cheapy to keep it from being stolen.

Sadly without some high resolution video of the thieves stealing your batteries and extinguishers you'll never find the culprit. However, considering the specifics of what was taken I'd be willing to bet it was someone in YOUR marina who needed new batteries and extinguishers. I would suggest that you pray for Karma to even things up by their losing an outdrive to a submerged log 30 miles out on the gulf without anyone nearby to see them sinking or hear their call.

This is why they shouldn't let the victims decide on sentencing :D
It P's me off but what ya gonna do? Have no idea when the thievery took place so all I can do is report it for the stats. Batteries were due for replacement anyway so all I really lost was the core charge for each and the fire extinguisher was 12 years old so probably needed replacing anyway. Out of pocket-probably $40 total. In the great scheme of things nothing worth getting lathered up about but it DO P me off! If this is my statistical turn at being a crime victim-I'll take it!!!! And I was just kidding about cutting off the hand-I'll settle for a hammering al la Casino ;)
Figured out that all you LEO's out there would get a kick of the shoe being on the other foot for me. Maybe I need a boat monkey! Trunk Monkey Compilation - YouTube

You know you'd take the case if you were asked to defend them. Now if they have any kind of smarts at all they'd fire you on the spot and ask for a new lawyer.

That's a B**** Caj. Swipin' your personal stuff sucks but the violation of your personal space is what really p***** you off.

I had a 4 rods/reels, tackle box, my VHF, sunglasses, a Gore tex jacket and some other trinkets stolen out of our "secure" marina a few years ago. Then they sliced some of my canvas for absolutely no reason on the way out. I was livid! They got 3 boats that night.

Never caught the little peckers and never recovered anything. I did ok on the insurance claim (as well as you can) but what a major PITA. It still ticks me off to think about it.

Little %*&$##s took my boat batteries and fire extinguisher!
I want Habeas Corpus suspended, I want profiling, I want SWAT called out I WANT THEM FOUND
I want them brought to me and their hands cut off. I then want their families punished. Oh, and no lawyers for them!

Wells, now Squire..........What might be the bounty on these desperado? ;):D

Rat Catcher at your service.

Keep an eye on it, they know you will replace with new, they might be back. They got a used and a new battery from my car that way at work. Stole my battery and came back a couple days later and stole my new on.

Well you should feel lucky, apparently you have more then some other poor individual. Aren't we all suppose to have equal even if we don't want to work for it. Just say'n. But I do have a nice sharp machete if and when you find them.

Got lucky with my stuff pawn shop right down the street, like I wouldn't look there, glad the shop lost money they knew it was stolen, guy got caught and I had to go to court 5 times, he kept postponing the case, guess he thought I would give up. Hey I got a day off for each plus got paid, worked out for me,:D not so good for him, incarcerated for not sure how long but not long enough to suet me.

Sorry to hear.

At least no Smith's were involved in the heist.

The biggest burglary I have ever encountered was during my last move.

The movers stole everything from pocket knives to my kid's nintendo games.

As we got moved in and unpacked boxes, it became clear I had hired a pack of thieves instead of movers.

Hang 'em........hang 'em high.......

Chances are the battery went away for the core charge, and the extinguisher for grins......bet folks are on to something with the meth head comments.

Sorry for the loss. Sounds like it won't get past the deductible. I would be on the lookout from now on, they might come back.

It's amazing how often that actually happens. Someone very close to me had their garage hit. Stole tires, rims, chainsaws and tools. Three weeks later they came back and hit the house. Took cash, one handgun and left many more firearms. He moved all of his guns the next day. Two days after that they were back, broke in, but the guns were gone. If they come back again for the fourth pass, they will probably not survive the visit.

Well, if and when they're caught - their skilled attorney will remind the court that it WAS a non-violent offense and no harm was REALLY done and probation will certainly be in order so that these young men can get their lives on the right track.
A order of restitution will be filed , but of course never fulfilled and the revolving door goes 'round and 'round and 'round.

After spending the thousands of hours in the Halls of Justice that I did, if I had been an attorney, I'd have retired a multi millionaire.
