Hohoho, just last night my wife and I were watching a movie where a male cop and his female partner were about to enter a building at night. Male cop had a 1911 with hammer DOWN and finger on trigger. Female cop had a Beretta 92 with hammer BACK and finger on the trigger. Pointed it out to my wife and she gives me the "look" as in who cares and don't mention it again.

My grandad carried the first ones (Models 21 and 21AC) in the
'20s as a Texas Ranger chasing smugglers at Del Rio.
