Hello to all!
I happened upon this forum more or less by accident while trying to research different options for a carry gun. The Bodyguard .380 made the short list & an internet search led me here.
I'm not going to name the other possible contenders (since I feel that objectivity MAY be slanted a bit on a S&W forum...), but I really would appreciate an update on the issues discussed here with this pistol. I did read the "Report: Problems with new S&W Bodyguard 380" thread with interest, and it seems that S&W have addressed some or all of the issues mentioned. Is the latest model "fixed", or is there some work left to do? If the bugs are gone, which serial#'s are considered "non-beta"?
There aren't a lot of firearm dealers in my area & some could still have older, less bug-free stock still on hand.
I also own a 22A, which I bought earlier this year & really like! Mine has been problem-free except for a couple of FTFs in the first 20 or so rounds.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to picking the brains of the experts here & may even share some info/experience of my own if the occasion arises.

p.s. - Why aren't my smileys, etc. working????

The BG380 is hit or miss, from what I'm reading. Good-looking gun though. In a 380, I prefer the Sig P238.

Spent some time in the mid-80s in Claire, MI. Pretty darn cold.

Welcome!

greetings from mass! this is my experience with my bg 380. bought it, shot it, sold it all in two days time. long hard trigger with a long reset and the laser buttons were a pain in the neck to operate. i have a sig p238 and a ruger lcp which are very nice small 380's. there also is a ruger lcp that is very sma;; for about 400.00 or less. btw the sig is single action only.
