Latest Serial numbers on 15-22

Just picked up my DVA prefix MOE 15-22 and will be taking it out tomorrow morning and putting it through it's paces. Extra mags and plenty of ammo, should be a good day!!! Will post later on how it goes!

First time posting but I've have been looking through these threads for lots of good advices and opinions.

Picked up a DVP last week....gave it a good cleaning and oil...took it to the range with different ammos (not the ones listed in the manual)...and NO FTE or FTF....yeah.

I put 100 rds of CCI, 100rds of Win Super X and 200 rds of Federal through the rifle without any hickup. Now it's time to accessorize!

DVE

The M&P 15-22 Performance Center Model A.K.A. A1 Style Comp is stamped right under the ejector port (if that's the right word...where the shell flies out). It is equipped with a 22lr Laney Semi-Auto Match Chamber.

New member here also. Great forum!

I picked up my DVE7xxx in Feb. this year. Blue spring, 2nd gen. mag., has the compensator, and is a Sku#811033 which I understand is the A1 Comp I was looking for, but is not stamped with "Performance Center" as stated here and in the manual.
My question is, should all A1 Comp/811033 15-22s have the Performance Center stamps between the ejector port and mag well?
The manual (Rev:083010-no red or blue dot) denotes on pg. 10 that this is how to distinguish if the rifle has the Laney chamber.
Of course I'm playing it safe and Not shooting Stingers, but does anyone have an idea as to why it's not stamped?

It's not stamped because its not a "Performance Center" model its just a standard model so shoot all the stingers you want. All the PC model are stamped Performance Center under the ejection port and have an 18" fluted barrel which are the two tell tale signs of the PC version. It also has the Laney chamber and a two stage trigger but those features are not as easy to see.

Thanks Recook,..It's not the Standard model, but I was under the impression that all A1 Comps had the Laney chamber, and were Performance Center models. Just had a bit of mis-information, but it's all good.

After reading your reply I went back to the S&W website and did see that I somehow overlooked the fact that there are indeed two different models (A1 Comp & Perf. Cent.) out of the 10 listed.

Thanks again

DTZ (ny compliant) in march which has been flawless.

I do get FTF with Remington golden which are garbage.

Federals and CSIs fly right through

Hi there everyone. New to the forum today. What a great place! I look forward to many productive visits.

Picked up my first 15-22 today used at GM so I did not get any manuals but I did get two extra mags and a Kruger 1.5-5x32 tac scope.

I believe mine is an A1 style but I'm not quite clear on the difference between the A1 and the MOE.

I has the standard stock, no sights (due to scope I imagine) and a threaded barrel with compensator. 25 rd mags stamped 22LR and 25 RD. Mags have red followers.

Rifle has blue bolt and hammer springs and carries serial # DVP8XXX.

Can someone give me an idea of how old this is?

Thanks! Look forward to spending alot of time here!

my 15-22 has DVP as the serial. so i think those are the newest, but also i have the new performance center 15-22.

@tkoegler yours is fairly new from late last year to this year. i have the performance center with DVP1XXX and it was made in jan/feb
