Latest Serial numbers on 15-22

DUU, is this old?

@boxertrio...And all others who may know....I noticed you mentioned a DUA?...when was date of Your purchase?
I just bought a "NEW" Moe and its DUU, and the last mention in this thread with those letters was back in early 2011. Seems like DUU is waaaay outta sequence.

Any explanations or is it possible that s&w still have these in their warehouse?

Probably not, but the distributors are another matter. When they get a shipment, it's highly doubtful they send them to dealers in sequence. And if another shipment comes to a distributor while they still have some on the shelf ... they probably don't bother with "first in; first out."

Same way with dealers that buy in large quantities, like my LGS. They always have a couple of dozen in stock at any one time.

FWIW, out of sequence makes no difference.

Mine is a DZP also. It was purchased at WM back in April.

I'm worried now mines DZT8xx what does that mesn?

Nothing at all. Any design problems (which is why this thread started in the first place) have been solved a couple of years ago.

Serial number means nothing more that it's the serial number. It indicates nothing else.

IMHO, this is a useless thread that needs to be locked and done away with.

Purchased 811034 (MOE) in August 2012.

It's useful in that it helps to document various sell dates, but as you state since the bugs are worked out, it's limited to someone purchasing a used firearm knowing when the various numbers were being sold.

Calling S&W is far faster and more accurate than dragging through this thread. Besides, manufacturing date is much more important than a purchase date. :)
