M&P-15 22 Accessories

I have wood on my gun?
Maybe... maybe not... however, wood grip panels generally come as factory installed on many 1911s.
The shoulder rig is one of my rotation of every day carry holsters, as in... I strap on a pistol when I get dressed in the morning and dont take it off till bedtime.
I also have belt and IWB holsters... neither of those work well with the kilt however.

Actually, when worn with the kilt, I dont wear any jacket... as Va is an open carry state.
When worn with pants I wear either a hooded carhartt or nice leather jacket... ALMOST like a white sports coat

Im used to being singled out... side effect of putting myself out there.
Put the AR in the sweet leather shoulder holster and people will overlook the additions.

Yea... its for a shotgun... but dangit, a lil work and most longer weapons wold work.

That . . .but why do alot of people keep there iron sights on after they get a red dot or a scope. I understand back up flip up sights. Is it just for the picture?

I am used to co-witnessing my iron sights with my Eotech on my flat top AR and a another red dot on a different weapon, so it is second nature to me to have my red dots co-witnessed. I'll be doing the same once my 15-22 arrives (tomorrow, yea for weekend break in).

Thanks for getting back on topic. That thread was taking a strange turn. This accessory thread has nothing to do with somebodys beef with somebody else, about something else.
I co-winessed my NC-STAR scope to my iron sights too. There is something about having the same hold, cheek weld, etc, no mater what sighting system you are using. I had to build a spacer for the scope to co-witness, but it is perfect now.

Yeah, I left my factory front sight, even though im using the sightmark. the main reason I do it that way, is because the recticle isnt always in the right place depending on the location of you face, but if i take the time to rest the recticle on top of the front post, i know that thats 'zero'. Ive got a flip up rear sight, but if i had to use factory sights, it wouldnt be a problem. I still works very well.

I disagree, if you move your head the recticle moves on the glass but stays on target. Focus the sight on something then move your head side to side the recticle will stay on target. . .i really think it's better without. I guess it's a matter of preference. no. it stays on target, if you consider a difference of 20 inches (at 15 yards) 'on target'. personally i dont. if you actually need it for a 'quick acquisition' then yes, for the most part your head placement shouldnt play too much into it, because at that point youll be close enough where the MOA wont come into play. however, if its something where youve got a little more time and distance, then yes, you do actually aim. and, of course, if youre out at 50+ yards, then a red-dot is only going to be so accurate, there for, flip up the rear sight, and go 'old school!"

In my case, on the weapons where my rear sight allows for it, I either (A) fold down the rear sight, or (better) fold the rear ghost ring down to where only the bracket posts are used.

The recticle never actully moves, when u move your head the reticle stays the same, the gun has'nt moved but your angle of view changes which makes u think the recticle moves off target when it drags across the glass. I think im gonna get a magpul flip up and leave the stock front iron.

My only .22, for now, is a Savage Mako that I use for paper punching and teaching others how to shoot.

i understand what youre saying, but if you just bring the gun up, if you dont have a front reference point, you could be off 10-20 inches in any given direction. obviously youll have an idea of how off you are, and could compensate if it was a matter of being fast, but im talking about target stuff.

im assuming that youre using a sightmark reflex?
