M&P-15 22 Accessories

I have an idea.... why don't you and Reelman get together. Reelman is questioning why people put inexpensive optics on their 15-22. Ya'll are the perfect team to solve the 15-22 optics dilemma. Let us know what you guys figure out...

Have a reading problem, Phil? I clearly stated that I had NO intention of flaming. I don't own (can't afford) any electronic optics so I don't know if there is purpose in adding a $600 sight to a $400 gun. I'm asking if it is that much better, or is there another reason (making the gun match another gun like the other guy said)?

No man, from what i have gthered about phil is he ment....you feel one way the other guy feels the other way so together you can come up with a solution to what is the "correct" way. He wasnt flaming you.
;)

Yah know, just a little ribbing!!!

Did the pettifogger of function over form release his childhood album for public viewing?

Maybe we should take it easy on the Lounge litigator.... he's had a rough time with his own PVC lately. The story goes like this-- He lives in something jacked up on piers [I'm guessing FEMA trailer on cinder block] and the temperature gets down to 24 degrees.... but figures he doesn't need to bother letting the faucets drip overnight [Mall Ninja would know better]. So.... pipes freeze... waits for wife to get home so she can crawl under home to check out the pipes.

So..... next time he offers lectures about PVC here...

hahahahahahaha... can you believe I actually got banned for that?! hahahahah...

Well Im glad we can all laugh at ourselves around here, which i think DIS-PROVES the whole "mall-ninja" thing.

By the way, did a lil googling during the presidents speeech about "mall ninjas" and found the origin.

Shrine of the Mall Ninja » LonelyMachines

...the fact that anyone actually believed this was real says alot about the intellect of the average forrum-nazi.

Happy Shooting:D.....my new wall paper.....:D

hey, where did you get a picture of my girlfriend to use as your wallpaper?!!!!!!

Lol. Great pic.

You've still got some railspace on the side. I think a bit of trimming and a 1" flashlight holder will accomodate, though you may have to watch out for 'dripping' ;)

I hadn't thought about the drippings.... hmmm.... the Tacticandle is becoming more of a engineering challenge than I first thought.

I've got a grill on the deck... it's got a drip catcher... maybe with a little tweaking.....

lol just got a mental pic... doing that while setting in a bing bag necked and eating cheetoes:D:D:D:D

I fully expect to be banned sometime today due to the comments i left last night. I know it will take a while for them to get their hand cranked generator going thismorning so im good for now.:D

I take that back....THIS.....is my new wall paper:eek:

lol.. I wouldnt be surprised! they banned me for 3 days because I dared to respond to their idiotic fan-boying..

looks like I see another screen-name in my future! lol;)

WAIT! it just hit me..

I think i found the loop hole of the 'mall-ninja accuser type'..

if the person has wood on his gun, and holsters them in a really sweet Don Johnson leather shoulder-holster, then its NOT being a 'Mall Ninja.. its being 'cool?' but.. if you do it with a black gun... look out, people will call you names! lolololo.l...

I have wood on my gun?
Maybe... maybe not... however, wood grip panels generally come as factory installed on many 1911s. ;)
The shoulder rig is one of my rotation of every day carry holsters, as in... I strap on a pistol when I get dressed in the morning and dont take it off till bedtime.
I also have belt and IWB holsters... neither of those work well with the kilt however. :(

Have fun... its one of the reasons I took that pic and posted it. :D

Jim

:D:D:D
I bet he has an awesome white sports jacket he wears over that gitup.

Actually, when worn with the kilt, I dont wear any jacket... as Va is an open carry state.
When worn with pants I wear either a hooded carhartt or nice leather jacket... ALMOST like a white sports coat :D

oh, no.. I dont want you to think that I was singling YOU out. it was just a generalization. unless.. maybe YOU think i was..? lol

Im used to being singled out... side effect of putting myself out there. :D
Put the AR in the sweet leather shoulder holster and people will overlook the additions. ;)

I dont think anyone is interested in your collection of men facing men pics.

Save those for a different forrum!!!:D

That . . .but why do alot of people keep there iron sights on after they get a red dot or a scope. I understand back up flip up sights. Is it just for the picture?

I am used to co-witnessing my iron sights with my Eotech on my flat top AR and a another red dot on a different weapon, so it is second nature to me to have my red dots co-witnessed. I'll be doing the same once my 15-22 arrives (tomorrow, yea for weekend break in).

Thanks for getting back on topic. That thread was taking a strange turn. This accessory thread has nothing to do with somebodys beef with somebody else, about something else.
I co-winessed my NC-STAR scope to my iron sights too. There is something about having the same hold, cheek weld, etc, no mater what sighting system you are using. I had to build a spacer for the scope to co-witness, but it is perfect now.

Yeah, I left my factory front sight, even though im using the sightmark. the main reason I do it that way, is because the recticle isnt always in the right place depending on the location of you face, but if i take the time to rest the recticle on top of the front post, i know that thats 'zero'. Ive got a flip up rear sight, but if i had to use factory sights, it wouldnt be a problem. I still works very well.
