Ive had mine to the local indoor range 4x in the short 30 days ive owned mine and thats limited too 75' and if some people remember my thread was why i had such a hard time sighting mine in.
Spring, Bring it on!
Even at 75' it was no challenge with this gun and my optics, And ive seen people ask about upgraded barrels already. My gun will out shoot me or the .22lr round will be the limit before the barrel becomes an issue.
Who has one of these installed?
TheGunSource: BSA Optics Sights & Lasers BSA Laser Genetics ND3 Green Laser Designator, LG-ND3,
I dont have a "real" use for one but would be cool to have and try.
This may be my new setup for a while.
ok now your top rail is full 3 more to go![]()
Here are a couple pictures of how my 15-22 is progressing. I'm still waiting on some more parts to arrive (backorders sucks!) but I think it's coming along nicely. Very fun gun to shoot and accessorize!
What is your bi-pod and what is it's size (max and min. length), also when it's extended how far is your mag from the ground?
It's a Harris 1A2 Bipod. I believe that it's a 6" to 9". It was given to me by my girlfriend's younger brother as he decided he no longer needed it. Score!I'm heading to the range again tonight, I'll try and see how far it holds a mag off the ground and let you know.
hey guys! i'm new to the forum and i am LOVING my new m&P 15-22. i ordered one in the month of December using s&w's military discount and it finally came in! so i was looking to add stuff to mine and i came across this pic...what and where can i get what's in that red circle below...some sort of grip right? thanks!
i believe that is a mako magwell grip. search google, you can get them all over the place.
that's it! thanks for the fast response!! i'll get some pics up of mine when i get the chance....
Awesome, could you also get some pics of it with the it standing on the bi-pod with the mag. and it fully extended?
Here you go. With the legs extended and the gun roughly parallel to the ground the mag has about 1.5" - 2" of clearance. I didn't think to actually measure it at the time as I was a bit rushed with the fading light by the time I got to the range so I'm just estimating based upon the pictures.
Awesome, thanks for the pics. That's enough clearance for me. Now I can look for a bi-pod. That really helped my decision.
I think I am going with the Harris/LaRue quick detach. It's probably the most expensive route, but I can use it on anything with a rail so I can sort-of justify the cost. I don't like the UTG Bi-Pod I am currently using, but it was VERY cheap!
