M&P 15-22 Picture Thread

Keep in mind that many of the people on here also have standard AR's with which they can and do swap accessories. So sure, it might be $171 for a bipod/mount... But that doesn't mean it's only for the .22.

I myself don't have a .223 AR yet... but I'll admit that I've made some of the purchases for my 15-22 based upon the fact that someday I will and can then swap them over to that.

However, there are people who just really like the .22 platform. This will be my 2nd .22 rifle that I've spent more than a grand on. My 10/22 has still cost me a good deal more to build than what I have invested into my 15-22 and all of those parts are dedicated solely to that gun and nothing else. I feel less "guilty" about buying parts for the 15-22 knowing that I'll get greater use out of them down the road.

Yeah I can't see spending that for JUST the 15-22 but there will likely be a M&P 15 or a Bushmaster in the collection soon. My accessories will be shared.

Just wanted to show some more recent photos. I became an official member of the Crayola™ Club last night.

Bad guys beware, the Mall Ninja is afoot! :D

brett, if you're gonna tease us with a 5.56 suppressor you should at least show us what it goes on. i know it doesn't work on either gun you had in the photo op. come on man, show and tell.

Same here, don't have an AR yet but I will pretty soon and some of my parts that are on my 15-22 will go on the AR.

I'll do it for you for a couple boxes of mini mags. J/K. Just rub a plain old crayon on it.

This setup is sweet, I like the short forearm and folding front sight with the fake can it looks so much shorter than a normal 15-22.
AAA+ fast shipping,WILL buy from again!!

Dang Cjit you beat me to it!

Ultimately I want an M4 front end on my 15-22! So I am going to sit back and wait for someone to make an M4 style barrel that will take a fixed front iron sight and once they do, it will have M4 hand guards on it! :)

I think you did a GREAT job!

Mike,

It's not a real Gemtech can, it's an officially licensed (100% accurate) replica for airsoft or display. It is not holllow, can not be made to silence, it's solid billet aluminum.

Snapcry,

I'm not sure yet if this is going to have a negative effect on ejecting. I can offset the magazines height wise if it's an issue, but as it sits right now, it looks like spent casings will clear. I will report back after I go to the range this weekend. There is one other issue, this makes using the mag assist button useless once you get down to where the mag clip is.

I was rockin the coupler for a while with them off-set, but it added too much legth to the mag.

So i did it old-school, flipped one upsidedown, and kept them even. This allowed the extra mag to always be on the same side( away ) from ejecting brass and not blocking the mag release.

Took some practice switching from one to the other since you have to add a twist of the wrist.

Does anyone know if you can install a Redi-Mag on the 15-22?

I was considering going that route rather than clamping the mags themselves together. I was also thinking about adding the Magpul B.A.D. Lever as it seems like a great usability improvement.

I think that they would work but if anyone has done either of these to their 15-22 please chime in to confirm whether they will fit correctly or not. Thanks.

Snap,

Yeah if I had to flip them then I will just not use the mag clip. I want them to be the same orientation and level with each other if possible.

I hope I don't get any casing eject issues.

I have heard that the B.A.D. Lever does not fit, it hits the trigger guard

New to the site. Here's mine. Picked it up a couple weeks ago. Added rubber hand gaurds, riser, and NCStar 4x tac sniper scope w/ ill retical and laser. I know NCStar is cheap, but I've had nothing but a good experience with the quality. You can't run it over with a truck like a trijicon but if taken care of is pretty good.
