Nope the length of the charging handle is short and not as long as the traditional charging handle. I just double check for you with my cheek riser and if you have the stock on the 1st setting (closest to the charging handle) it does get in the way but as long as you have the stock set back a little then no it does not get in the way.

Let me know if you want me to take pictures with the charging fully extend with the cheek riser

Here are the Pics and you can see that it is still functional. The stock is set on the closest setting to the charging handle, and it is a little awkward but it still works.

The only thing I would be concern with is the actual height. If you are going to equip a 1 inch riser to your optics then get the .50 cheek riser but if no 1 inch riser then get the .25 cheek riser

Here's mine

So here's what I've done so far. It's a basic S&W M&P15-22 - A1 Style Comp. Like I said earlier, I've not got around to shooting it yet. A lot going on right now but it's going to happen soon.

I can't say how the add on's perform yet. I've added a Barska GLX Green Laser Sight, this thing looks awesome. If it operates as well as it looks I'll be very happy with it. Constructed very well. As for the light, it's a Nebo ProTec Elite (230 lumens). I've never had a tactical light before so I got'a tell you guys, I was amazed at how bright this thing is. I use an old 3 cell Mag light around the house and this puts it to shame. How they can get a little thing like this to put out that much light is just amazing. I got a extra 10 round mag today at the local gun shop. They only had one so I figured go ahead and get it. Lot's more on my list.

I just turned 55 and I feel like a kid again. I've always like the tactical look, now I can add all the cool accessories I've always dreamed of. Maybe not the high dollar ones but this is just for shooting soup cans.

barrel shrouds are not illegal on semi-automatic rifles.

So Ive gone through every page of this thread...twice. I personally love customizing all of my stuff, and my 15-22 is no exception. I got some really cool ideas on stuff I'm going to add to my rifle. I was waiting until I was "done" to post pictures, but then realized I would never finish, there is always something else to add or change, so I decided to just post what I have now.

Anyway, here is mine. Got a MOE edition about a month ago before they went out of stock (I was thinking and saving money until I saw there were only two left, jumped on it before they went out of stock!) I have taken it to the range a few times, and absolutely love shooting it.

Parts that came with the gun:
MOE Pistol Grip

MBUS front and rear sights

Added:
Magpul RVG foregrip
Magpul XTM covers (1/2 spray painted white)
Tacti-crayola
5 extra 25-round magazines
Tennis overgrip on pistol grip (to help absorb my Italian sweaty palms)

(I know I went for all Magpul stuff, but I just wanted all of it to look like it flowed together)

All I want now (for the moment) is an open-style red dot and possibly a bipod.
