M&P 15-22 Picture Thread

Kennedy is my 9 year old, whose been shooting .22 pistol since last year. She liked this so much I agreed to krylon some easily replaced parts....just had to share and brag
[]

as you can see from the "Zombie-Bin-Laden" target, she does ok at 25 yards with the dot and magnifier (58 out of 60, you can see the two fliers at low right)

for those who might question:
1. She realizes zombies are figments of cinematic and literature fiction (she didn't want the dog-zombie target, cause it was too much like a dog)
2. We discuss and stress the importance of weapon saftey at each outing, and she uses her own ears and has her own shooting glasses, bag, gear...
3. I thought with the dot, she would have more success and concentrate on breathing and trigger control/basics, then we can move on to iron sights in a year or so

I think she's pretty much done with this stick...she wants a VFG in pink when she's ready to try offhand...

Looks like she did as good as the SEALS did.

figured i would add to the Kids theme...this is my 6 year old with my 15-22 right after i picked it up (different setup now) and the P22...hes a better shot than his mom!

Should probably not show them this picture of my wife's assault rifle and shotgun... Hell Kitty and Franken Kitty Newly Gun Coated

To keep it on topic, she will receive her 15/22 rifle in a month or so, and her DS Arms ZM4 in December (for Christmas of course), and these will go pink for her next birthday...:)

Paul man that is one pic i wont be showing them lol, but thats pretty sick looking. I like it.

Wow. Sharp! If not for all the great info on this forum i may have gotten here something else. Love the setups on this thread esp. the ones with the kids enjoying

new pics

I finally got full rail covers and it looks much better.

Now I am waiting for a 3 pt sling, mag well grip (found I like that better than a vertical) houge grip and then I will paint it all up...

Then the next round will be spendy. Set of MBUS' an AFG (too much money right now so I settled for a mag well grip) and a sight magnifier. I have the fever BAD!

No one told me the 15-22 is considered a gateway gun! This D#&mn thing now has me drooling over an AR and a Beowolf .50 upper. Why couldn't I have gotten a Walther... AHHHHH!

I don't recognize those rail covers, who are they from?

Those are d-boys RIS armored railcovers from airsoft mega store. It takes two packs to cover a gun and they are only $9 but in my opinion are the best looking rail covers out there.
- similar to index clips, they are completly modular
- each peice locks together to form one solid rail
- they have to slide on from the front of the rail but are very snug and clip down so there is no play and they can't pop off the rail
- best of all they look sweet and are inexpensive.

I am very impressed with them

Finally took some pics after painting my gun. Alumahyde II - Parkerized Grey.

Let me know what you think about the Red dot scope and the Magn.

I'll agree with you there. Best looking rail covers I've ever seen.

My gun is finished painting, now i would like to get an opinion, Should i keep this size for the barrel or shorten it like 2 inches?

I hope to get fast reactions!

1) can you legally shorten the barrel>? some states require a specific length- rimfire or otherwise

2) what advantrage is there in making the barrel shorter>?Is it going to affect the accuracy>?

personally i need some more info before i can give any accurate advice...the paint looks wicked though! very SCAR-like

I live in the Netherlands, here the barrel must be at least 30 cm (11.8 inch) but as far as it stays larger then that u can shorten it as u like.

As far as i have heard there is no disadvantage ( its all for the looks ;-) )

Sorry for my bad english !

Here's my 15-22 let me know what you guys think!
Upgrades:
Ergo grip
Front grip/bipod
Utg butt pad
Ladder rail covers
NC Star 2-7x mark iii scope (I've haven't seen anyone paint their scope like this before)
Painted the stock iron sights
Overall i love this gun and it has gone through several thousand rounds without any issue.
Next to it is my Ruger P95 9mm that i painted as well
