M&P 15-22 Picture Thread

Hello all,

Just picked up my MOE version today, very excited to get to the range Monday and sight in the MBUS sights and have some fun. Primary Arms M3, Magpul RVG, and an offset flashlight mount are on the way to complete phase 1 of the fun stuff.

I have two 10-round mags for now.

And yes, I left the charging handle back, oops!

It looks like you have 2 mags there? Did the moe version come with 2 mags?

The dealer had a second full size 10-round magazine they got when they ordered a short one, so they tossed it in for their cost to avoid return shipping.

Well that took a while, I've finally finished this thread (for now). I guess I should go buy a 15-22, because I'm gonna need something to put all the tacticool on. :)

Having a platform to hang all of the tacticool on is a side benefit. The 15-22 is just a whole lot of fun. After taking mine on a campout, four others had to buy their own. It's a contagious disease.

If my photo posting skill are working this is my 15-22. Red dot with 3x magnifier, MUBUS, CAA bipod, Houge grip and a muzzle device of my own design. Also LaRue index clips on the quad rail.

The target is from several weeks ago using the red dot w/o the magnifier. One shot each bull at 50' from a bench rest. I doubt I will be able to duplicate the feat.

LTC

what kind of red dot and magnifier are those? That set-up looks SICK!

"Sick" isn't the word I would use, but then I'm an old guy. I would say "impressive".

I also would like to know which red dot that is and the MOA of the dot.

And so starts my journey in your footsteps...

I tried to install one of EMA Tactical's MGrip's but there seems to be a slight difference at the hinge of the lower and upper receivers between the 15-22 and an AR. Some dremeling and sanding should solve it.

New to this forum but have been trolling for a while. Heres a pic of my deeply loved baby. This and my ruger 10-22 archangel conversion with optics, beside my Glocks, are my favorite toys. I have various configurations for it including folding front and rear sights when I dismount the carry handle. I like this configuration the best. Has red laser integrated with the NCstar optics and a rail mounted Green laser and 130 lumen light. I like the folding foregrip for versatility. Toyed with the idea of forgrip with integrated Bipod which I still may do. Any suggestions for improving my baby?

Her is anothe configuration for my 15-22 using UTG folding sights and a reflex sight with 4 reticle selection.

Heres my Ruger 10-22 Archangel conversion. The other configuration for this rifle includes a 2x red/green dot scope mounted on a carry handle or a bushnell 4x mounted on the handle as well

I never understood all the fuss about the Hogue grip until I decided to take everyone's word for it and order it. Now I see why everyone loves it :D

Sorry about the bad lighting. it is magpul FDE, I painted the Magazine.

love the colors on your M&P Kilo, did you buy most of the accessories that color or did you have to paint some. If you had to paint, how big of a pain was it to paint everything?

AAAAHHHHH the new gun smell. I brought mine home today. I got her out of the gun jail. It was a long 10 days.

I have a BSA 3-9X40 illuminated target dot scope, BSA 20mm red dot and BSA tactical rings. All told it was about $120.00 for all of the optic's. I know BSA are not the greatest, but they will work for this .22lr

I get to try it out tomorrow. I went with this setup because I have been told the 45 degree mount will not be true. Hope this works better.

Buzz.

Sorry about the the bad lighting. The only thing I painted was the magazine. So it wasnt that much of a pain.

I bought my 15-22 to be a training aid for carbine classes and less costly practice. I have found it to be very useful in that role, and to my surprise, has been one of the most fun guns I have ever shot.

It wears a Vortex Strikefire and Magpul MBUS rear sight, just like my battle rifle, and the same M.O.E. grip, and stock as well. Future plans include the same trigger (RRA 2 stage), and a similar light setup like a G2led in a VTAC mount. My SHTF carbine wears a Surefire/Viking Tactics Scout light.

Of course my goal for this rifle is to be identical in every way except caliber to my SHTF carbine. When the mid length M.O.E handgard comes out, it will go onto my battle rifle, and hopefully, in that time, I can convert the 15-22 to accept the same. I will not be really upset if I have to end up keeping the railed forend, but I would prefer a more conventional handguard. Anyways.............this is the pic thread, right?
