M&P 15-22 Picture Thread

Here she is! Still have yet to fire it - the wife is making me take a safety class before I go solo shooting...seeing as how at first she was like "send it back - I am not keeping something like that in my house" to "well...as long as we agree on how it is locked up in the house and you take a safety class toot sweet..." It think I am very fortunate.

Enough about my issues...Enjoy!!!

Model 811033
Bushnell banner 1-4X32 scope
Magpul AFG
Raveneye Custom load assist buttons
Promag 32 rnd magazines (if they ever show up)

Thank you S&W forum for all I have learned so far!!!

Magpul Backup Flip up sights
UTG Medium Riser
NCStar P4 Illuminated Mark III 4x Scope w/ Quick Detach
NCStar 3 MOA Red Dot
34mm Tube Mount
Hogue Oversized Pistol Grip
UTG Short ForeGrip

Also have 2 32-Round Promags
2 25-Round S&W Mags

Love this setup because I'm right handed and can keep both eyes open and see the red dot with my left eye and my right is blocked by the side of the scope. Or I can move slightly to the right and rest my cheek firmly and see through the 4x scope and close my left eye just as if I'm normally shooting. It looks a little funky but I promise its awesome for transition between 100 and 50 yards. Can also quick detach the Scope which pulls the red dot too and can pop up the backup iron sights if all my optics went down.

I had some extra .22 LR cartridges and a Leupold Gilmore red dot laying around and then I saw this at the swap meet this morning. I don't know what came over me.]

I have a feeling your .22 LR ammo won't last long with that little thing. :D

Done, Done, Done

I'm really done with modifiying my M&P 15-22. I recently added an MOE stock and an MIAD grip. It now feels very comfortable to shoot, and I can hit what I aim at (at 25 yards, so far).

When the weather gets warmer I'm going to see what it does on the 50 and 100 yard ranges.

Just traded a friend this for my compound bow. Good deal I think!! So far I ordered 3 25 rounds mags and put a light laser on it. I have a magpul afg2 coming as well as a blackhawk grip. Shoots really well went to our range today and shot some sure shot exploding targets. Her are some pics and the YouTube link.

Sight placement

Good looking gun looks almost like mine right now.

Thanks!

FYI your flip up sights are on backwards.

They work much better in this configeration. They do not flip up and hit your hand when opening. The part you push down to activate is also easier to push in this position.

Try it you'll like it...

Why not just use the side lever to flip them up? Anyway, I understand your point, but the one I'd be worried about is the front sight post getting jacked up since it's pointed outward. It'd be easy to snag/bang/etc on anything.

I'm ready to go and try out my two new promags at the range tomorrow morning. Then I think I'll go and see if I can find the Sig P938 my wife wants for her birthday for a better price than this one I almost bought today.

+1 on using the side lever. I never use the center button, because of the whole finger pinching thing. Lol.

they want $777 plus tax of course for the P938 down here, but they have every version to include the rosewood and the diamond plate one. Nice 9mm though, i just don't need another one. buy it!

Out on our first date. Ran through 300 rounds of 28 year old CCI MM that I had lying around. Only 1 FTF. I love this little gun. Definitely NOT a Marlin 60.

Everytime I look at this thread I want to change my configuration around. Love this gun/thread giving me endless ideas.

Appears to be a Bushnell TRS-25 Red Dot ($90-$100) - add a UTG .83 Medium Riser ($10.00) and you are set.... Very popular set up and allows you to co-witness sights...

RP

what handguard is that? do you have a link?

It is a VLTOR CASV-EL. I've had one on mine for a year. They rock. It attaches to the top rail on the receiver and the delta ring and give you one long optics mounting surface. I watched backpage until I found one for 150 and liked it so much that I picked up a second one for my AR. They aren't cheap, but they are rock solid.

It has an Aimpoint style mount instead of a riser, so it can't be a Bushnell.

I'm thinking Primary Arms MD-06 (removable base).

Taken off the MBUS and want to work with the "fixed" sights. Had to put the front sight on backwards to fit in with light.

got my conversion done to match its big brother, the 15-22 will be the perfect trainer because it will have everything the big brother has, only need some promag 32 round mags and fill them to 30 rounds to match the mags for the 5.56. then get micro dots for each. I even put on the same A2 half cage flash hider (needs to be timed)

The perfect trainer.

Got my 15-22 MOE about a month ago (LGS raped me a bit, but still worth it, IMHO). Like everyone else, have had difficulties getting ammo, but I've put 500+ rounds through it at this point (as a funny - the LGS sold me some CCI LONGs; was getting about 15% FTE/FTF. Then I noticed that it was a bit shorter than my other 22 LR ammo. I handed the rest over to my son to shoot from a 40yr old bolt action...)

Anyhow, this forum has been great and I've had a lot of fun taking it out to the range... I haven't gone overboard (UTG red/green, cheap foregrip+bipod), but I am impressed with the accuracy.

Took it out yesterday and was shooting paintballs on golf tees at 50yrds with the bipod + green dot...

Anyhow, here's some obligatory images showing the tacticrayola as well.. Waiting on a couple of 32rd mags.. Probably won't see them until April... Also gonna try the JP yellow springs.. The UTG is on a riser now so that it can cowitness...

Well since I'm always lurking here I might as well post mine.

I bought this in early January and since then have added a Hogue grip, Tapco foregrip, some Magpul rail covers, a 35 round Plinker Tactical magazine, and almost 2,000 rounds of .22lr!

Here's my "upgrades" :D (Yeah, I know, cliche, cheezy, whatever, but I like 'em!)

I can't believe i went through ALL 75 pages. Took me a few nights but WOW, got alot of good ideas from some creative people with some awesome looking rifles.

Can anyone tell me where I can get the extended charging handle? I saw the one in the classifieds I think but I really like this one better.

Also, I saw a couple of these Bolt catch extenders (Can't remember it's actual name) and was wondering if they are an actual model made specifically for the 15-22? Because I remember seeing some a few months earlier in the thread to where they had to be bent and modified for it to work. BAD I think was the brand. This one looks slightly different from the BAD model. Where can one get this if it is a made for fit to the 15-22?
