M&P 15-22 Results, Post 'em here. I got Mine!!

I've had my 15-22 for a couple weeks and have put about 700 rounds of Federal and CCI Blazer bulk pack through it without any malfunctions of any kind. I took the rear sight off and put on a Primary Arms M4 Style Red Dot. Spent a bit of time earlier in the week sighting it in and am very impressed with the way the gun shoots.

Can't wait till S&W comes out with the 10 rd. mags. The 25 rd. is fine but too long for shooting off a bench rest unless the rest is quite high.

Glad you had good luck with yours. If they do come out with a 10rd clip, i may get one also, i have now have 2 25rd clips now, and wouldnt mind having a 10rd also.

Hey guys, new to the forums here..

I picked mine up last night from my buddys range. I was hooked on this gun since i first saw it a few weeks ago. Once i had the money to grab one he had the one in stock sold but ordered me another Asap. He pinned the stock and mag to keep it NJ compliant. Otherwise i wouldve had to wait till the 10rd mags came out .

Only problem's i've had with it are 1: my own mistake of loadin the mag wrong like stated in an earlier post and 2: the safety doesnt seem to want to go back to the ON postition when there's still rounds in the mag????

other than that this sucker is a blast to shoot!!

Got my shipping label Friday in the mail. Have it all boxed up ready to go, will ship it out tomorrow. Hopefully they won't take to long to get it back to me. It was a fun gun to shoot when it was working right.

Sorry to hear you have to send yours back aswell Marvan, its not a good feeling, had mine 4 days before it got sent back, had nothing but jamming problems from the start, They told me earlier last week that they where moving quickly on things, and it be done by end of week...another time i called last week, they told me they had a 8 day turnaround, and friday was 8 days they've had it, so i called, and they said it showed to still be getting analiyzed...so i dunno anymore, but hopefully this week i'll get it back.

I remember my safty doing that aswell, when it jammed,i dunno what it was.

Looks like there is even more competition for this gun.

Ruger 10/22® Autoloading Rifles

Looks a lot like the latest Remington .22lr out there. I'm sure the Ruger is much lighter though.

I love all of my Rugers: LCP, Charger, Mark III Hunter, and my first 10/22 Bull Barrel.

But I just think that this Smith is still THE dedicated 22 AR build that everyone was looking for.

All though the Ruger seems pleasant but they don't give you a whole lot to start with.

When I believe the 15-22 gives everyone a firm start without even needing any other purchases right away.

Anyways, I should have my 15-22 this week if it gets to my FFL by Thursday.

If not then I'll have to wait until next Monday and I don't think I can.

called s&w this morning, because they told me my gun should be finished by end of last week. Well called this morning, and now they said, they usually fix and them back to people, but since the 15-22 was new, the Engineering Dept was looking it over..so i dunno when i'll get it back.

TxShooter

My nephew purchased a new model 500 when thet were first released a few years ago. He had a problem with the firing pin and it took S&W about 2 weeks via the "engineering dept" to identify the problem and fix his revolver as well as insuring future production of the firing pin.

I'm sure they'll identify your problem and get it resolved. This is a huge item for them & they have alot riding on it.

I mentioned this before, my brother-in-law has over 3,400 rounds (CCI ammo) through his M&P15-22 with no problems...he has owned it 2 months.

New here with FTE problem

Hey everyone,
Glad to be here! Just put my M&P 15-22 on the FED EX truck
to go back to S&W for repair of FTE problem. Seems to be the same as the person who has the video on you tube.
Hope I get it back soon.

Today is 9 days they've had mine at s&w. Good luck with yours ,seems to be a common problem latly.

called S&W again today, and they told me i should have mine back in about 10 Business days...

Do the factory sights on these need to be dialed in , or are they pretty much set from the factory?
I bought one that has the rear sight cranked all the way to the left? I have not shot it yet.

there not perfect, or atlease mine wasnt, i had to tinker with the sights a bit.

I bought 2 of them. One good .. One bad one.
My shop is sending the bad one back. :(
Does anyone know what is causing the failure to eject problem? Probably S&W doesnt even know... lol.

Great question, id like to know myself, it seems to be popping up alot more, mine did the same thing, and jamming, etc. S&W has had it now for about 11 days, called this morning and they told me i should have it back in about 10 business days from now..

i read that the other day, who knows..i figure when i get mine back from S&W, It should perform like a champ, hoppefully, or i want my money back from Acadmey or S&W. cause i dont want to send it back again.

I've shot mine at 25 yards and definitely had to adjust them. In fact, I still need to do some tinkering.

Well I moved the ejector a tad inward, and it shoots like all get out now! 300 rounds downrange, with no failures.
So I believe I have solved the FTE problem, on these guns.
You think S&W would testfire these guns (More than one round)!
