M&P 15 Sport-Any available or....?

AN UPDATE
Thanks to this forum, I was able to locate a Sport, but it was the "Kalifornia" model. No problem as I ordered the parts to make it non-Kalifornian. From what read and watched on you tube, I should be able to switch out the mag release with no problem. Side note: What a STUPID law for a part than a grade school kid could circumvent in 15 minutes!
Now my next question is about pmags. The model I'm getting has the 10rd magazine and I want the 30 rounders but not sure as to which ones to get. I went to the Magpul site and on Amazon and they listed a number of different ones. And yes, I only looked at the 556/223 30's What should I be looking for when they are all so close?
Example from Amazon;
Magpul MAG211BLK PMAG 30 5.56x45 AR15/M16 Magazine - Black $14.50
Smith & Wesson M&p15 Pmag 5.56mm Black 30 Round $17.50
MAGPUL INDUSTRIES CORPORATION PMAG 30RD MAGLEVEL 17.88

What's the difference between the two? I'm thinking the standard would be fine, but I'd like to know what's different between them.
I'll check out CTD. Thanks!

PMAG is the standard 30 round mag (I have 2 of these)

S&W PMAG just has the M&P log stamped on it. Otherwise same as the PMAG (I have 1 of these)

PMAG with MagLevel has the window in the side so you can see your rounds. Same as above otherwise. (I don't have any of these)

I also have 10 aluminum DSG Arms Mags with Magpul followers. Those went for around $9 each.

All have worked perfect so far.

Thank you BJ2012. I figured the standard PMag would be just fine for me and you verified that.

The best price on line I have found is Botach. Standard 30 rnd Pmag are $14.98. When you figure free shipping and 15% discount for using "magpul" in the box for coupon at checkout, they come out to be about $13 each. Here is the link. A lot of places kill you on shipping. I've ordered from them twice, never had a problem.

Thanks! Already checked into Botach and found a better "code" for the mags. 20% instead of 15%. Like the free shipping as well. Stayed too long on that site and found a few other things I might want to add, like the hand guards. Just waiting for some tax money to filter back home.:D

Glad you found a Sport, I know you'll enjoy it! Botach also has Lancer mags with a buy 3 get a 4th free deal and free shipping, you may want to try some of those out too. The DSG mags are good also.

Same here

I bought my M&P 15 Sport with bullet button from grabagun. I live in Indiana and don't need a bullet button. I was happy to find there was no loctite or super glue on the threads inside mag release button. Removed it with a small paneling nail. S&W sent me "normal" mag. release button and spring at no charge. Replacement was simple and quick. I may replace plastic sight with metal. Bought two 20-round and two 30-round metal mags from Brownells. Spent about two hours at range adjusting sights and firing several brands and varieties of cheaper ammo -- SP, HP, FMJ. Operation was excellent and memories of boot camp and rifle range passed through my mind. I own several Ruger pistols and revolvers but am pleased I chose this excellent value rifle over mini-14.

Just got mine with BB from grabagun. Can you tell me exactly how you removed button? I have tried everything short of drilling with no luck. I know there is a slotted screw in there but it won't budge. Thanks.

Yuetta...semper fi bro! when I read your post I knew you were a jarhead before I looked up and saw the EG&A. IMHO you will not regret choosing the sport over the mini-14, accuracy not comparable and the fun level is there also, plus a lot more dress up parts. Welcome to the club!!!!

It's not a slotted screw-it's a slotted nut. The guy in the youtube video I mentioned earlier in the post, used a 22 casing and machined tabs on the end. I just drilled it out. Just go slow and before you you know it, it's done.

If the bullet button nut was put on with loctite/epoxy/super glue you, or your gunsmith, will likely need to drill it out. I've read about limited success heating the mag release to soften sealant then turning nut. Mine had no sealant/glue and came out easily. The nut has two slots in it, one slot on each side, and mag release bolt threads pass through center of nut past slots. You can't put a standard screwdriver squarely into both slots because the bolt threads are in the way. I put a small paneling nail into one of the slots and rotated it around the threaded mag release bolt until it came off.

Yea, rifle range and infantry training are firmly imprinted on all Marines' minds.

If you're looking for available stock on the sport, call the Cabela's gun request # 1-888-474-4867...I called and they shipped one from a store in a different state. I had a call in less than 48hrs and they hold it for 5 days with no down payment.
