M&P 45 any one have any comments on them?

I traded in my G=19 or a full size M&P 45.I love being able to shoot my lead bullet reloads again. It's very accurate and best of all American made.

I have a M&P full size .45. It is quickly becoming my favorite .45. I have some trijicon night sights on order for it now and have recently purchased an M&P 9mm Pro. I sold a Glock 34 to raise the funds. You will like this handgun, it really fits my hand well.

Just traded off a G32 for an M&P 45c in dark earth. Love the feel and sweet shooting .45! I was a Glockaholic until last week when I put over 450rds thru a G22 in a day and a half long shooting school for Instructors. The squarish grip frame of the G22 banged my rt thumb so much that it may be permanetly numb!
Owned an M&P 9 since they hit the market. Shot the highest State Guard Qaulification score that year(2007) with a new M&P 9. Out of the box, no break-in. Just loaded it and fired. My practice score was so high I quit the Qual after 1st firing. Amazed a Special Forces CW4 in accuracy and performance. Woot! M&P's, I love 'em!

The M&P .45 is my first smithy but my 4th polymer gun. I absolutely love this weapon from the weight, the look, the backstrap options, and most importantly THE FEEL!!! ... I need the small backstraps and the thing fits like a glove.

I tired attaching a flashlight to the equipment rail, but no matter how hard I torque the screws down (to the point of almost rounding them off, which is coming some day) the unit just inches it's way down the rail after just one magazine.

All in all, it's my bedside weapon atm, so I'm not so worried about the flashlight moving after teh first few shots. It does make carry a bitch, so it's off at the moment .. But, as previous posters have mentioned, these units will eat any .45acp ammo you throw in them ... ANYTHING. I am now the guy who buys the mysterious bag of bullets in the burlap sack the clerck never thought he'd sell, hehe. (but we've got the good stuff for SD ;)

I just installed some Trijicon night sites, and couldn't be happier. They have increased my day time accuracy as well compared to my factory sites. My only complaint, is that it seems the mag springs have crapped out already. I bought the unit from a friend and found two bullets in one mag that has compressed the spring (I didn't think that happened that fast), and my other mag will always jam at the 7th round. where can I get some mag springs, or is this something S&W would help out with?

I'm hoping some springs will fix it...

RAMBLE ON!!!!!

I have four magazines for my MP 40, they have well over 10K rounds with the orginal springs over the past three years. I still do not have any problems with this gun feeding. It could be a magazine problem, however springs are cheap and easy to install. You might look for wear, damage to the lips of the magazine. Good luck.

Bought the 45c and have put about 1,000 rounds through it. Shoots two inch groups at 50 ft, off hand 5, shots of hardball. Like the concept of a comfortable, short grip with a 4" bbl.

Verrrry reliable and best Polymer 45 compact I've owned or shot. I had a Glock 36 and a XD 45c, they were um "ok", but fell in love with the S&W. Liked it so much I purchased a 40C M&P, based on the experience with the 45c.

I have the full size, FDE with no mag safety, no lock. It has the thumb safety.

I got it new in box for $400, from a private seller.

I have nearly 1000rds through it, 150 of that with a Apex DCAEK kit in it.

I really like this pistol and it has replaced my Glock 23 as a daily carry.

My only complaint is a set of spring mags that went south on me soon after purchase.

Outside of that, wonderful gun.
