To be exact, they have 5 of 'em after I bought one yesterday. :)

I bought a M&P 40 Pro that's the same gun with a tuned trigger & hi-vis front sight. I paid $567 for mine plus tax, so this is a pretty good price. I wish this deal was around when I was in the market.:(

That was a good price for the Pro

Really curious to see if they get inventory again. Never was clear whether this was 'overstock' from a LE order or they were getting their own orders filled from S&W or a distributor.

Either way I love mine. :)

Yes, it turned out to be even less than the 9L that my neighbor bought from the same shop a month earlier. Now it seems to be harder to find the 5" M&Ps. Glad I got mine when the supply was greater. I wasn't sure that this gun was going to perform as well as my Glocks, but so far it has been 100% reliable & is extremely accurate. Let's just say that it can more than keep up with my abilities.

After putting around 500rds through the 40L. I have to admit. I'm not a hug fan of the trijicon sights that came on it. The front sight seems to skinny for the gap on the rear sight. Anybody else noticed this? Thanks -Wade-

Not at all. In fact all 3 of my M&P's measure about the same; .130"W front / .135" W rear.

40L w/stock night sights
9FS w/Tijicon night sights (same as S&W)
45C w/stock white dot

I find the sizing to be fine and I am a former bullseye shooter who setup my sights very tight.

The LEO models have a product code starting with a 3. These do not.

I bought my M&P 40L from Bud's on Saturday 8/31. By the time I got to the range that afternoon, I only had 12 minutes left to shoot it. The next Tuesday, I dropped in the Apex Comp AEK trigger, RAM & extractor and replaced the front night sight with F/O. Chrono'd some loads that afternoon and loaded 400 rounds that evening and headed for the Idaho IDPA match on Thursday.

The gun ran flawlessly. I only wish I could shoot as well as it does.

Just measured my 40L and my front sight is .010" smaller than the rear sight. Stock sights on my glock measured= front sight .015" Larger than rear sight.

I really think the front sight should be wider on my M&P.
