How rare or more valued do you guys think the round butt is over the square butt? Generally, are the RB's going to be priced higher, and how much is reasonable? Was the RB made in both 2" and 4" barrel lengths, or only in the 2"?

I recently bought a 15-3 4" SB, and was sort of thinking the 2" RB would fit nicely into my modest collection. A local pawn shop has a (maybe) 95% 15-4 for $489---any advice?

I have a 4" Model 15 with a round butt....It's a 15-3 made in 1971. I don't know how the value may compare to a square butt gun. This is the only round butt mod 15 I've seen in person.

RB Model 15s are not common in any barrel length. The 4 inch RB seems more common than the snub nosed RB.

According the SCS&W III, the Combat Masterpiece switched fom square butt to round butt in 1995-1996 as the Model 15-7. By then, they were just making it with a 4 inch barrel.
