My most frequent K frame carry, a Model 64-8, serial CVN1496. I’ve got some Hogue bantam grips on it with Hornady Critical Defense. I think it’s from the early 2000s but don’t know for sure?

That longer barrel makes for a unique carry gun, compared to the "average" snub that many carry.
If you feel like it, I'd love to see more pics, and see what your carry setup is..
Thanks!

For IWB, I use a generic Etsy-flavored leather holster made for a K-frame that fits really well. For OWB, I use a 1791 leather paddle holster. Today it’s the IWB leather, at 4:00, with a button up shirt over it because it’s hot and humid. Comfy enough, conceals well, and I’ve got a pair of speed strips in the pockets.

This weirdly carries better than a lot of lighter guns I’ve got, to include an SP2022 and a Beretta 84. The rounded grip really kinda fade/melts into me more comfortably than the angular “rounded” pistol grips do. IWB, the cylinder is just below the middle of the belt line with my holster- I have no doubts that a better holster would improve comfort further.

Also, and a complete aside, there’s a 3” Model 64 at Cabelas in Buda, TX

I find the 4” to be quite tolerable-had a 6” Model 27 for a while and did not love it, but 4” is quite comfy. The 2” J frame is a “better” length for real discrete carry IMO; but if I had spare dollars and a nice 3” I’d be all over it.
