I bought my 64-7 3" (round butt) off an auction last month, paid more that I should have, but zero regrets. There were only a few 3" ones, on the auction boards. I love this gun!

I love the "Old Timey" looks with bull barrel and exposed ejector rod. This is the smoothest double action revolver, I own.

It came with original box, lock, manual, etc. I have changed out the trigger to a SS version and put a Wolf spring kit in it. I actually love the stock grips, which appear to be in great shape for a 2005 model.

I know the 64 is a working man's wheel gun but they're really nice and affordable, and plenty of parts to modify. What's your thoughts?

Congrats on your new 64.

I've just got my 4" standard barrel but it's one of my favorite K frames.

64-3. It was hurting when I rescued it about five years ago. Sent it to the Factory for a complete rebuild. The tech who worked on it was an ace. Barrel turned with the B/C gap set at .004. Every spring, hand, cylinder stop and the center pin replaced. End shake corrected. He even put a smooth combat trigger in for me at no charge. I also have the original hammer. The action is smooth as glass. I've thinned the herd the last year or so but hung on to this one.

I've always admired your collection. That's one that I haven't added to mine yet. Thanks for showing it off again!

New found Love for the K ...

First off Kingspoke, beautiful Model 64! The 3" barrel is just right on the K frame.

I also scored big at auction and likely paid too much for my 547 but it has exceeded my expectations and I couldn't be happier with my purchase. I especially love the balance and handling of the weapon. I think the heft aids in pointability and presentation, my 360PD AirLite seems like a toy in comparison, until you cap it off that is.

Recoil, while brisk, is nothing like the 360's and sustained fire or follow-up shots will be eiser and more accurate with the K frame.

Love to see that you felt the 64 deserved the royal treatment, especially since you apparently have a collection!:D BC gap at .004 is awesome. My 627 is actually (new) at .004. My 64 is at .007!

What, no hole in your gun (lucky guy)? I saw a 3" no IL for 800 on GB!

I guess we can never pay too much if we really enjoy them!:D

My Model 64. (Have posted before) Purchased new 41 years ago for $145 for off duty concealed carry. Never a problem with it. Very accurate for a snub nose. Still my favorite gun in collection.
