I ordered a 4046 from CDNN last week
Here is what came today
As you can see the gun came with everything a NIB S&W should come with. Theres a lock, user manual, NRA and warranty card. Theres also the fired brass case in the envelope. The envelope is dated 03-06-06 Yup my 4046 was made in 2006.
CDNN said that these 4046's were "new old stock". These were police guns that were locked in storage and never issued. There are no police markings on the gun, you would never know these were once LEO guns.
The one thing I feared was the DAO trigger. If you look around the net you read horror stories about how bad S&W DAO triggers are. Well I dry fired the 4046 today, and the trigger is really good for a self defense pistol(which is its intended use). THE DAO pull is better than the DA pull of my friends Sig 229, or my H&K P2000.
For the price($472 total) I think this is currently the best deal out there for a NIB gun. Especially since these are out of production.
