I hit refresh on the cabellas ammo with can it showed instock went to put in cart and was sold out again, not sure if a sign they are adding more
 
Too much

Problem is that there are thousands of gun shops that have to stock up when the hoarders and resellers quit buying. I can see this going on for another month or two. Also the senate is going to vote on gun bills next week. This will keep things going.

Speaking of high prices, even Cheaper then Dirt is saying that these guys are expensive!

No wonder why they've got plenty in stock, over 2 dozen 22LR ammo products. I'm just a messenger, don't shoot me, maybe there's a brain surgeon that needs ammo but he'll need his brain examined if he purchases at these prices. :D

By the way, there's tons of new firearm owners looking for ammo, that's a contributing factor in this insane madness, this isn't ending anytime soon, IMHO.

Murphys website is still taking orders...prices are reasonable in this current climate, but here's a quote from their Facebook page from a company rep: "Thank you to all our new customers! I placed so many orders today my supplier locked my account....they think I'm spamming their system! Orders are therefore on hold until Monday morning. Keep it up folks! THANK YOU!!!"

I ordered ammo from Mack's Prairie Wings over Easter weekend only to have it cancelled... this deal feels the same, so I don't hold out much hope for my Murphys order, either.

As for these current "insane" prices on Gunbot's in stock ammo listings... how many dozens of trips (I'm not the only one out here who has to drive 25 miles or more to a seller) to check on availability of ammo, before paying 3X, 5X, or 8X the "fair" price starts making sense?

There's a lot of people out here who weren't sitting on hundreds of rounds of 22lr before this insanity hit. Week after week goes by and there's no end in sight. I have to laugh at the future estate sales of deceased old farts who will have a closet arsenal of 22lr they hoarded.

I noticed someone earlier mentioned Gunbot for ammo searching:

A second site you can try is Ammo Seek, though it does not have Gunbot's alarm feature:

Because the 22 ammo disappears often in under a minute, these searchbots have become much less useful for finding 22LR.
They're still handy for other calibers however.

The Ammo Seek What's Hot list:

gives you a real time picture of which calibers are in highest demand, with of course, 22LR, 223/5.56 & 9mm topping the current list.
Of course even the less in demand calibers remain scarce at reasonable prices.

As a matter of experience ... I ordered from them at the beginning of March, they charged my credit card on March 20. When I emailed them on April 1, said they were going to start canning and shipping that day. Two weeks later I haven't received anything and my email goes unanswered; maybe they're too busy canning :rolleyes: Sooo, if they're filling back orders first, I can tell you they have not yet filled from the beginning of March.

Just signed up for some alerts on there. They have quite a few 22LR with expected arrival date this coming week. I will try to post when o get alerted but I'm sure you'll have to act super quick so it may be easier to set up yourself!!

As long as the Cabelas order doesn't say Back Ordered, you should be ok. I have one showing In-Stock w/ a delivery date of 4/22/13 and one on backorder. The backordered email states it is tentatively scheduled to arrive at Cabelas on 4/25/13
 
Cabelas has the Remington Eley 22lr available even though it says out of stock click on it will let you buy one box of 50 for 11.99 before shipping.
