OFFICIAL Using Wal-Mart App/Website

LMAO yep I did word that wrong LOL
Every time I see the M22 in Mtp I go early before the lady says she stocks it and non there, I get the story that somebody else took it upon them selves to stock it before she got there.
Yea I wonder why
Thinking about taking a pillow and sleeping in the isle one night LOL
been trying to get a box of M22 for 2 months and I see today Cabelas had it while I was at work and somebody posting that they got 6 boxes of it with different e-mails and CC's :(
how quick will that be on GB

It's actually pretty sad but I almost have more 9MM and .223 than 22LR

Bummer :(

The 54 mile ride was an hour and they were sold out long before I got there. :(

That was the first time I saw was 'in stock' looked like on the app. It was a change for sure....

the app seems pretty slow, I got the last 3 9mm 50pks this morning at 7:15 and it was probably around 10 to 11am before it changed from limited to out of stock

Hit the walmarts in southern broward county down the university drive corridor. The miramar store showed another 10 boxes of Remington 225 in 22lr but nobody could find them. I rummaged through some boxes under a cart and there was a sealed carton with 5 boxes of .38 in there! But no 22lr. Strange thing huh? According to them the 22 is always locked up.

The store in Miami Gardens also showed 10 boxes of the same 225 ct .22 lr Remington but they also could not locate their product!

Something is fishy.imagine, the manager at one store was not available due to illness! Too many coincidences starting to pile up around here.

I got a call after my first complaint. Manager told me only sporting goods can stock it and they would make sure it was stocked in the mornings. I called the other night when they had it and was told nobody was in sporting goods that night so I figured I could pick up some ammo in the morning. It was gone by midnight. And those people with multiple emails are using the same shipping address, I believe Cabela's monitors that and cancels extra orders so expect to see it back in stock on there soon.

Thank you everyone for the info. I noticed yesterday around 4-5pm that several local Walmarts showed stock. I hit 3 of them this morning between 7-8am and got 2000rds of Federal Lightening 22LR and 500rds of assorted 9mm. I can now take a break from scouring the internet!

One Walmart was limiting 22 ammo to one box per person.

I'm not sure that I'd brag about that -- check post #162.

You might have considered leaving some .22LR for other folks to buy -- which is what the group of folks at the Walmart near my home did this past Tuesday morning -- it was a nice study in human dynamics to see a group of 8 strangers in line have a discussion about what each persons ammo wants/needs were and all agreed to buy in such a fashion that everyone got some of what they wanted (vs the first 4 folks buying all of the .22 or .223, for example.)

The last time I saw Win 555 packs at the Mtp walmart was a month ago at 7am,(there was 4 bricks on the shelf) I had 3 of CCI bricks at home and 2 guys were talking about having nothing at home so I bought 3 9mm 100 packs so they could have the 555 packs, now I kinda wish I wasn't such a nice guy.

Jeff, I'm in the area so if I come across anything I will send some your way. Mt. Pleasant has been really tough to get anything with their shady workers.

I've seen many "in stocks" for my local stores, but it never is...

There is a reason for that...

So I seen it show up this afternoon at a store 50 miles from me. I call, guy says between 9 and 10 it will come out. I leave early, get there at 8:45...First in line....Associate working in sporting goods asked me what I want, I say I am here for the 22lr to be brought out afterwhile. She Snaps back SO, WHO TOLD YOU? Then she named someone who evidently worked in the back. I said no, I seen it show up in stock on the app...

She snapped back, well, you cant always go by that, its wrong a lot....Then stormed off....

This is where it gets good. As I was waiting 3 or 4 people come in behind me. At least a half hour or more went by and NO walmart employee was seen in sporting goods. Someone behind me actually called customer service and complained about it, and awhile later they started bringing carts out without ammo. Then finally they brought it out, I talked to the guys behind me and told them I would make sure everyone got...Well we count it up, divide it, and the last guy in line goes to pay for it and a WALMART EMPLOYEE comes out, takes the last box, and gives it to someone standing BEHIND him....I seen what was going on and asked the guy, about it, and he said yea, they gave it to that other guy behind me...

He only wanted one box so I took one of mine I got and sold it to him...

So yea, serious games are being played in the stock rooms with the ammo...Was suspicious up to this point but that is all I needed to see tonight.

Contact the manager, explain what happened, and then ask for the District Managers contact info.

Report this BS, it really seems to help. We're hearing that many associates have been relieved of their duty do to shenanigans with ammo. Same for some managers.

Keep them honest, if it shows as In Stock, it more than likely is!

went this morning after being told sporting goods opens at 7. Cleck told me they put the ammoout at 5AM. I guess from now on i iwll be there at 0430.
I just hope my wife gets some at the post tomorrow

I have read some people saying their walmarts do it at 5am. I think the majority do it at 7am as that is when the day shift initially starts and the overnight shift ends but of course some stores are different. I would think if it's out at 5am that would mean even less people unless there is a lot of people who go just for ammo.

that makes me so mad though about the other stuff I read above. In all honesty I would like to believe my walmart when they say they don't have stock but sometimes I wonder if they're lying to me....

a little off the wm app subject but anybody know why the gunbot alarm will not work on a smart phone?. got it turned on but it never plays the load alarm

Hate to say it guys, but the word is out on the Walmart app... I hit the wally world by my house this morning which had 22lr "in stock". I believe they have it, as I've hit it once before and picked some up. THere was a line of at least 15 people at 7am. Told myself "NEVER AGAIN" as I walked out the door. Bottom feeder central.

I wish WM would limit to 1 box per person. This would allow everyone to get some ammo to shoot and would keep these low life scumbag idiots looking to turn ammo for a $25/box profit out of there.

Well, I know we've all had false alarms/indicators that made us think the .22 shortage might be improving, and this may be another one that doesn't mean anything, but I think it might. I've watched harder, made more trips, and just generally worked more than just about anyone to get .22's. I live on the KY/TN border and keep a really close eye (via the app AND site visits both) on about 12-14 walmarts. In the 3 months I've been "working the system" it is extremely rare for more than 1 or 2 stores to get ammo on the same day. However, there was 6 stores in my area that got inventory in today!!!! SIX! The little inventory list for winchester 555's of "nearby stores" lit up like a christmas tree with the green "in stock"!!!! It was sooo thrilling to see! ha. It gets better. I also call and visit about 6-8 local gun stores. Yesterday 4 of them had .22's in stock at some point in the day. Again, I've never seen ammo at more than 1 of them on any given day. Maybe its a fluke...I certainly dont know. But this is the most hope I've had in a long time that things could be improving. And if it does.....if there is any real karma/justice in this world, then all these people who are buying ammo for $25 and selling it on armslist/gunbroker for $100 will get stuck with several thousand rounds and have to choke on it. All the above described hunting I've done, by the way, hasn't added up to all that much ammo and what I have scored has- or soon will- go thru my gun....not end up on the internet at a jacked up price. Anyway, anyone between nashville, TN and Bowling Green, KY who is looking....if you'll e-mail me I'll try to help you (with information, I mean...no ammo for sale).

The bottom line to this message is that, at least in my little part of the country, the last few days has seen a major shift in availability of .22 lr. Lets hope this really is a sign of good things to come!!!!

happy hunting

Yea, in stock in the stockroom...Weather or not anything is left after the employees pick through it is another story.

If anyone happens to score on some 555 just take note of how many they bring out in a case. They are in cases of 10 count and I have seen them only bring 2 or 3 loose boxes out from the stock room and tell everyone that's all they got lol.

Yea, like Walmart ships loose boxes of 22lr that can split open and spill bullets all over the place....

Someone in the back scored on a M22 box last night because I know they come in 2 boxes per case and I only got one off the cart.

I got enough now to last me and the family most of the summer shooting now and then so I am done with the frantic chasing ammo and trying to out smart the employees.

Its getting tiresome to be honest.

Not entirely true. My local walmart sometimes ships an asserted box of ammo. Sometimes just with two boxes of a certain type

Went to Walmart this morning to buy a few grocery items. Checked the ammunition case and saw a Winchester 555 round box of 22LR. Bought two boxes at 8:55 AM. Sometimes you just get lucky.

I am going to go to walmart at least an hour early tomorrow. I hope since they said at this walmart they stock wednesday and satuday (not receiving anything wednesday) that I get something. I imagine with it being a saturday there will be a lot of people...

Winchester M22 1000 round box. Limited stock (usually means one case of 2 thousand round boxes). Hope to be first in line tomorrow.

If not, I'm turning around and going back to bed! :D

Another app success story.
I installed the app after reading this thread the other week. Nothing in stock at any of the 3 closest stores. Still nothing a couple days later. Yesterday, I just happened to recheck and my local store listed Limited Stock for 100rnd .45acp fmj. When I arrived later that afternoon, one box was behind the glass. When I asked to buy it, the clerk left it there and pulled a hidden box from beneath the register to ring up. That's enough for my quarterly outing so I left whatever was left for you guys to find.

No 9mm or 22lr, but I'm happy. (Also, picked up some 38spl from Parabellum Research).

Second in line this morning. First guy scored 3 boxes 1000 round M22.

That left me with one.

Another 1000 rounds added to the cache! :D

I came across this thread last night. Too be honest, I never thought of Walmart selling 9mm ammo. But to my surprise, I checked the app this morning and it showed they had some in stock!
I was able to get three boxes for my new Shield that I plan on shooting this Friday at the range. Thanks for the tip on the app!

@#*%#@ WalMart!

I am completely frustrated with my local WM. I had been checking every couple hours or so today to see if any 22lr had come in. Nothing for most of the morning, then around 11:30 Bingo! Showed some Federal Lightning 50pks for $.04/rd. But I've been fooled before. This time, I called the store, gave them the product number off the app and confirmed that they had some in stock. They did! 40 boxes to be exact!:D So, I drove over toot-sweet. Before running to the back of the store to claim my 3 little boxes of gold, I made a stop at the customer service desk and had them double check on their telxon (they weren't sure how, so I told them they had to look it up under the WM item number and not the UPC code). After explaining to them how to use their equipment, It was confirmed(for a second time) that the store had 40 boxes "on hand". Awesome! So I walked my happy behind back to sporting goods to claim my well earned prize. What's this? No 22lr? It can't be.....wait maybe it just hasn't been stocked yet....calm down. So, I ask the associate in SG where I can find the elusive little buggers and he informs me that any ammo they get is IMMEDIATELY stocked in the case, and if it's not there they don't have it. "Ah Ha! My good sir! Alas. I have already confirmed with two of your fellow workers that you do, indeed, have 40 boxes on hand." I then explained my story, and explained to him how to check store inventory on his telxon.(this makes three times confirmed 40 boxes on hand) Hmm...he says.....I'll have to get to the bottom of this....he says. He asked me if I could wait while he goes to find out where the 22lr is.(all of the associates have been more than polite, mind you) So, I wait for about 15 min while he looks. When he comes back, the only answer he has is that there must have been a clerical error somewhere along the supply chain. I think someone above him told him tell me that line of @*%$. A clerical error won't make an item show up as "on hand". The only thing that will do that is scanning it into the stores inventory. They scan EVERYTHING, they are lost without UPC codes! This is the second time this has happened in just over a week! Something is going on!

Rant over.

Contact the manager of this store! Explain what happened and what time it was. Also, ask for the contact information of their Dist Manager.

I can't garuntee that it won't happen again, but it's made some big changes at severally the local WMs.

Either the associates or the managers are not stocking it, selling it to insiders or they are buying it and selling it at a proftit.

I've used the app a couple of times and got there late. Looked last night and a store 35 miles away said limited stock M22. I called at 10 last night 3 times before someone picked up the phone in sporting goods. Guy says no we're out! I asked him politely to check to check the stock room. He's gone 15 minutes and says I found it but don't know how much and won't be put out till 7 today. I said thanks hung up and set my alarm for 4:30. At 5:30 this morning I pull up a cooler and sit down in front of the register in sporting goods. Virtually no one in the store. At 6:30 another customer shows up looking for 223. Cool. At 7 another shows up don't know what he's looking for. At 7:05 the clerk comes out pushing a huge cart with 3 small boxes. One was 410, one was 30-06 and then the 22. She opens it and there's 2 bulk boxes of M22. She says who's first? I raise my hand and say I'll take those 2-M22. She says you're not going to share. I'm a little taken aback and say yes I am sharing with my wife, my son-in-law and my son. I've been sitting on this cooler while everyone else was asleep. I feel a little guilty but the early bird gets the worm right.
