Warning, there's a sattlelite that's falling to earth and they don't know where it will fall. I think they said it's chinese. Not sure.
They said we won't shoot this one like we did the lastone.
Please stay safe, stay informed on this one.

I hope it's ok to post this. It's a safety warning danger will danger.

I heard it is part of a Chinese space rocket, weighing approximately 20 tons. Whatever doesn't burn up will come down somewhere, ideally at sea. If it has fall on land I hope in the country who sent it up in the first place.

I was hoping we would test a lazer on it. Or our star war defenses.

There's a junk yard of metal over our heads.

There's always something falling to earth. The amount of "space junk" in orbit is epic. No, they won't bother to shoot it down because that risks turning one big piece that most likely will burn up and hit water into millions of pieces that could endanger other satellites. A British company was recently awarded a design contact to develop a system to collect some of the riskier debris with nets.

When SkyLab deorbited, the only piece that made it all the way down was the size of a shoebox and it hit Australia - the rest either incinerated or hit water.

I know how my luck runs, so I think I'll cut the grass earlier than planned then shelter in the house with my helmet on. Does home owners insurance cover falling rocket debris?

Yup, and the Australian government fined NASA for littering. Mostly as a joke, but donations were raised to pay the fine.
