Oops! I bought a Model 29...

I have owned quite a few 29s, for some reason never had a -3. Was that a short run? 1st 29 with unpinned barrel? Right now I've got to many 83/8"
in 29s and 25s. The 6.5" guns are much nicer to carry.

Have a 29-2 just like it. Bought mine used in 88. Unfortunately I don't take it out much. It was my primary javalina pistol in southern AZ.

I miss my Model 29. I gave it to my son a couple of years ago. He shoots it often so that's a good thing and he's taught my 13 year old granddaughter how to shoot it. I gave him a number of low power loads that I used for competition.

I only have one Model 29.

My 6.5" Model 29-2 shipped January 14, 1964.
I've only put 48 rounds through it.

Why only 48 rounds?
Looks like a beautiful gun.
