OP very funny post for a bit there I thought u where serious =p
People dont know how good Smith and Wesson treats them. I have a gun from another manufacture that's known for there polymer guns. I had major problems with it major problems. FTF, FTE, and Brass to the face.
I went on there forum turns out this is a major issue with there Generation 4 model's. I call them up ask them what we can do to get it fixed. I am told to send it in I say great can you send me shipping label. I am told no they don't do that and I might have to pay return shipping if nothing is wrong with the firearm.
I am not one to fork over 30-50 dollars at the drop of a hat. I look on the forum and sure enough several people have sent there's in. After waiting almost a month they get it sent back with a sticky no problems. They still have the FTE, FTF, and Brass to the face.
I call back and tell them never mind. Finally this company admits (almost a year later) they have some issue with the model and its a spring issue. They will send you a new spring free of charge. This still does not fix the issue. Me and some of the guys on the forum ended up figuring out a 90% fix (works 90% of the time). That was to change out the extractor with a 40 caliber model's. we think the tolerances on the pistol where tighten to much in the frame where the extractor sits. The 40cal extractor has a different edge on it.
They never did offer to make it right they just pawned us off. Needless to say I will never buy another firearm from that company. The reason isn't because of a defective firearm but because there lack of support.
The only time I heard of them offering to replace one of the firearms was when someone was hurt by a apiece of brass hitting them in the face and burned them. The pistol had been sent back and no issues found. After that the pistol was traded out. Which lead's me to believe they knew about the issue.
All these people complaining about Smith and Wessons lack of "QC" should really count them self's lucky Smith and Wesson stands behind there product's.
