Picked up a 6906 yesterday

Youll grow to love the 6906.

Back when I was 21, I went to the opening day of Cabelas in my state. I found a used 6906 in 95% conditon for $385. I bought it. Loved it. Utterly. Was stolen one day and I never saw it again.

Earlier this year I was at cabelas again. Saw another one in 97% for $550. Price hike eh? Bought it without question. LOVE IT! just as much as my first gun ever. I dont carry it that much, Dont want to marr it all up due to them being scarce where I live, I carry a Sig 229 daily. However my 6906 is, and will remain my favorite pistol :-).

It does the heart good to see so much love for the 6906. :D I've come to really enjoy carrying mine, and will feel even better if I ever find decent carry ammunition. I desparately need to find some good 147 grain JHP non +P loads. I really feel undergunned with 115 grain. Magazines, too. Not looking to go overboard but three or four more would be wonderful. Eventually I'll get around to actually purchasing them.

Take care.

I always cry at happy endings.

I have to admit I am fickle when it comes to these pistols. I really like the feel of the 3913 with a Hogue grip, but I also really like the extra fire power of the 6906, and the grip is only slightly less to my liking. So I have both and sometimes carry one and sometimes the other. Fortunately they both fit in the same holster.

If you prefer DAO there is the 6946. I have one and two of the 6906s. I always preferred them to the single stack 3913s.

I had a bloody mary while looking at the forum, another while I searched for "6906", and after three attempts at posting a photo of my 6906, WITH LASER GRIPS, I am about to have a third.

I bought a LEO trade-in 6906 with round trigger guard (which I prefer) and really like it. My only wish is that it was decock only like my 4566. The 6906 shares time as my CW with my Glock 30. It's every bit as reliable and accurate as the G30.

When I first became a cop in 1991 I was issued a 6906 Stainless. We went to G22 a couple of years later and had the chance to buy ours for $350 w/ our 3 magazines. Since I had a G17 at home I didn't want to spend the money for a metal 9mm. (I was drinking the koolaid I guess). It must have taken all of a week for me to start kicking myself for not buying it. It is a great pistol, small, and concealable with a good round count. Getting one is defiantly on my gun bucket list!

I think I would have bought it just for it beening my first issue weapon

I am selling a few guns and the 6906 I bought used a few years ago was on my sell list. I took it out of my safe and I was reminded how good it felt in my hand and how well it pointed. Lubed it up and took it to the range last week. Bottom line, not only am I keeping it, I now carry it.

Love my 6906! I wanted a slimmer similar gun like the 3913, but since I found a good deal on a SIG P239, I went with that.

A 6906 carried with 2 extra mags gives one a warm, fuzzy feeling!
