Playoffs

I don't mind the celebrations for a blocked kick, a sack, an interception, a TD or a turnover. Those are big plays and should be celebrated. What turns my stomach is the back who gets 2.5 yds. on 2nd and 2 and feels the need to walk 10 yards farther downfield and signal the first down, make the "feed me gesture" and act like he's the only player in the world who could have gotten those two steps. I want to see your football prowess, not your ego.

I like the reply one of the old school players gave to those guys: "Act like you've been here before."

I never thought I would live to see Joe Namath held up as a model of professionalism and decorum!
Why not? Was he ever prone to the kind of taunting, baiting, and unsportsmanlike conduct prevalent at the end of downs now?
In fairness, the QBs this weekend weren't jerking around like the troops.

And that running back's team is behind by 20. I stopped following the NFL when all that started. I know what goes on only because it's reported on the news. Same for college anymore.

Don't really have a favorite team. I'm more a follower of players I like. I'm rooting for the Rams. Like to see Stafford get a shot at the big one.

Likewise, he deserves it after being in Detroit all those years.

Suh was jawing and pointing fingers at him during the game. I wonder if the ex teammates kissed and made up at the end. :)

The NFL is passing the torch to a new generation of stars. I think we saw a lot of them in this past two weekends. Yesterday were two of the best games I remember, and I've been watching football since Jim Brown carried the Browns, and Broadway Joe made the quarterback a centerfold character.

The players of today are bigger, stronger, faster, and richer :D than ever.

The current crop of QB's beats the Jurgenson, YA Title, crew.

SWMBO controlled the TV remote this weekend. I said "Yes dear".

Guessing that if I am forced to watch "American Rugby" that this was a pretty good weekend for it.

I'll be watching the games this weekend, I make no apologies. My wife will probably be watching Hoarders :D, that's how we roll. :)

I do me.

Terrible play calling by KC in the final drive of regulation, made no sense.

Happy to see Stafford get to the big game after suffering in Detroit.
