"Many thanks and much love to all who continue to send prayers and thoughts to Laura (and family!). Turns out there's quite a lot of thyroid cancer out there. Laura too, was amused at the gowned technician in above elbow gloves handing her the pill with tongs! She is in her little apartment having friends leaving things on her porch. The worst thing is that she has to stay on the iodine, dairy free diet until Sunday! She can't wait for a juicy burger and fries!

My Niece Laura has undergone Thyroid Cancer surgery recently.

On Feb. 14, she will have radiation treatment.

She will not be able to have human contact for a week. Radioactive.

I'll forward this site/post to her daily, I know you good people.

LOL! I remember that extra delay and thought I'd die! The week prior on that diet was bad enough but then to be told at the last minute that I had to go longer was torture! The moment I was released from that diet I sent my now-ex out to Arby's for a Roast Beef with cheddar and BBQ and potato cakes and told him he better make it quick! That was the best meal EVER!
