Prayer request UPDATE post #73

Rusty, hope she's well soon.

Is this from wearing a mask for hours and hours. Friends daughter got the same thing. Doctor said it was from wearing a mask all day long at work.

The general consensus of the medical community is that masks do not cause pleurisy.

Ruthie and I both thank you all for your support. She is feeling much better. The steroids have really helped but she is now a baritone.

They called her into work tonight as they are severely under staffed. She is working in the Covid wing. 8 residents have tested positive with no symptoms but 3 residents have contracted it. These patients were all sent by area hospitals including one from Louisville.

I really worry about her but she is a trooper and lives to serve.

Thanks especially to those who sent me uplifting PM's and texts.

I would gladly share my last 1/4 barrel with all of you.

So happy Ruthie is feeling better! I hope she doesn't over-do now that she's back to work! Tell her we said thanks for her service to those patients in the covid wing![emoji56][emoji56] Love to both of you and Happy New Year and good health going forward [emoji3590][emoji3590]

Don't know how I missed this. Prayers sent from the Great White North (the bit below Alaska) for both of you. Pity she has to stay on the front lines when she's fighting her own medical demons, but that seems to be all too common under the present situation.

Sounds like you have a good doctor, which is no small blessing. My buddy up the street died in mid-Dec after checking himself into the local hosp. in mid-August and "they" neglected to notice and immediately treat the flesh-eating disease that had somehow got into his right leg, which was not what he checked in for.

Since you're originally from aross the pond, you may remember the short-lived TV series "Doctor in the House". Thank heavens none of this lot is responsible for Ruthie!

(In looking this up I discovered that John Cleese and Graham Chapman were writers for the show, along with Barry Cryer and Graeme Garden of "I'm Sorrry I Haven't a Clue" fame. No wonder i liked it!)
