The below pic is a random photo attached a to a story about the Vet who shot the bad-guy in Chi-Town recently.

I suspect its a K-Frame variant. The holster appears to be an "Alamo" or one of the copies of that brand sometimes made in Mexico.

A good gun in good leather.

It looks like a wad of cash and "coozies" on the table? Maybe huntin' camp?

That is just about the worst place to carry a handgun possible. Because with a bad slip on some ice or oil that revolver is placed perfectly to paralyze someone from the waist down. In addition it will print like crazy any time you bend over to pick something up. Finally, if open carry isn't legal in whatever state that picture was taken that carrier is looking at a suspension of his permit if he is visible from a public sidewalk or roadway. BTW, I suspect that this is simply a "Stock" picture of someone carrying a revolver rather than an actual picture of the Chicago carrier.

Looks to me as if they are outside. Deer camp and goose camp are the only places we play euchre outside.

I don't know about deer camp. I usually don't feel the need to be packin' when playing cards with my hunting buddies.
Maybe bear country?

That's funny but far closer the truth than I'd like to imagine. A few months ago I was listening to WLS AM radio, the 50,000 watt blower in Chicago, and the announcer mentioned that the police had found pistols hidden in rotund gang members butt cracks.

WLS, WOW

When I was 16 with a new drivers license and all, I was listening to WLS AM whilst cruising around, (1966). I think my truck radio has AM. I'll look for it next time I turn it on.
I have not heard of the gang called "rotund". Must be a pretty big gang, huh? :D:D
peace,,

Carried as shown in the photo, it is both poorly secured and hard to draw. Not a winning combination.

BTW: the gang member's carry style is called "Keistering" and it is a common means of smuggling stuff into custody. Google it. Also known as a prison purse.
