Question about Nickel plating.

Hello Forum.

I have some nickel plated revolvers I would like to clean. Is it safe to put them in an ultrasonic cleaner with a small amount of cleaning solution?

I use the ultrasonic cleaner for my stainless guns but won't put blued in it. I have never thought about using it for a nickel plated.

Personally, I wouldn't since ultrasonic is designed to get in to tiny crevices and I would worry about it lifting the plating, but that is just me.

Interesting question and I am interested to see how others will respond. Personally, I would not.
