Mine was in the Arizona wilderness. We were camping and I had gotten up in the middle of the night to head to the restroom and walked into a Black Angus range bull that had come into camp looking for water.

I don't know which one of us was more frightened, but we headed in opposite directions.........

Same happened to me while camping in AZ, the bull didn't budge while I backed away, scared as heck (not an animal person).
We had another encounter with bovines in an unexpected place. Made a detour into a rural Portuguese town called Rio Frio, in search of a cup of coffee. A gang of untended bovines approached, so we ducked into a doorway to avoid them. When they were right in front of us, the leader must have sensed my fear, and turned to stare at me with a threatening gaze.

Apparently not an uncommon situation:

In the early 80's, these three musical meccas were bucket list destinations for serious players.
While never really into the music scene, my friend from high school Betty MacFarland and I, hung out for most of 1965 in Greenwich Village and at the Café Wha?, more for the fun than the music.

My father (on the right) and his brother. My uncle also played the steel guitar. There were two others in the band, a bass player and a pianist. They mostly played bars and honky tonks. My father eventually stopped playing when he went to work in the steel mill. His hands took a beating. He did play a tune for us once when were were older but it was difficult.

Like complicated puzzles? How'd ya like to troubleshoot this puppy? The prototype power plant for 6th Generation fighters, GE's XA-100. Potentially 10 percent thrust increase and 25 percent efficiency gain over current F-35 engine, in the same size envelope.
