A long, long time ago my roommate and I took in a female black cat during a tropical storm. She kinda adopted us and we named her Lucy, which was a shortened play on Loose Puss, because she turned out to be pregnant when we took her in. The kittens were born under my bed.

Here is a kitten ball on the back of the couch. How many do you see?

Annually during the holiday season, the Phoenix Zoo puts on a "Zoo lights" display, decorating the whole area with festive lights which are beautiful to see after dark.

I took this shot across a lake on the zoo premises - just a few of the many displays.

A tribute to "Chumly". He loved to sleep, hunt small game, lick plastic bags, and beat up his brother. He passed away in August at 8 years of age.

What a handsome boy he was. I'm so sorry you lost him at such a young age. Thank you for showing us his photographs.

During my stay in Switzerland, I used last Sunday's annual Bern Onion Festival and it's Great Confetti Battle to mark the beginning of the Christmas season.
Wares of an onion fest stall.

Horse drawn artillery brought to the heights over Lucern, to fire a dozen shells that signals the start of the Corpus Christi Festival.

Not often we get any of this here just SW of Houston. When I let the dogs out this morning before dawn we had snow coming down. The dogs were not amused. Only a dusting but I can't remember the last time we had any in early December.

the most stolen street sign in my city. it has been stolen so many times the city had to put it on a telephone pole about 15 feet off the ground. the normal street sign pole made it easy for the pilferers to remove the sign.
