Random Object Photographs

None of mine are as artistic as many here, but they are a few snaps of a job I was on a couple years ago:

The gang form flying into place was our work. I do concrete forming for sewage treatment plants, water reservoirs, etc.

The light plant being A-- over tea-kettle was the result of the general contractor's flunkies trying to save time by moving it up the hill without having to lower the mast, turns out ir was a little top-heavy.

The packer on its side was a result of the 19 yr old operator smoking too much weed instead of eating breakfast. One of the same suspects involved in the previous light plant incident.

*I'd like to add that neither incidents involved my people other than our documentation of said events. ;)

Stalactites in Howe Caverns in Schoharie County, NY.

They say that it takes about 100 years for a stalactite to grow one inch.
Imagine the countless years for these to form....

Sorry about the poor lighting, but it was 156' underground. :p

Another bit of NY beauty:

Chittenango Falls in Chittenango, NY.

Edit:
It's hard to scale the height in the photos, but online info says that Chittenango Falls is approx. 2 feet higher than Niagara.

I took my grandma to the doctors one day and while we were sitting in
the lobby waiting, she pointed to a picture on the wall much like this one and said
"We lived in a house like that once, when I was little." And she wasn't
joking either.

We often forget how easy we have it these days.

It pays to keep a sharp eye out. Then again it pays to be a stealthy huntress. Miss Kitty was a neighbors cat and she was one of the best and most effective hunting cats I've ever seen. BIrds, rabbits, lizards, small snakes, rats and mice. Sometimes she was too good for her own good.

She jumped that squirrel and instantly regretted it. She nearly lost and eye in the scuffle. That squirrel gave her a good old Texas *** whuppin' and I ain't lyin'. Did she learn her lesson? No way!

Some other stuff that caught my eye in the junkyard.

Any flyboys know what this might be? I had no idea, just thought it looked interesting, like some kind of weapon sight.

I ran the helo's N-number, it's a Sikorsky CH37C, the largest piston-engine helo ever made. Built in 1959, last reg expired 5/2015 (pic was taken circa 2006), last user was Aircrane Inc, PA, apparently still in business.
