Is that what appears to be the remains of a Navy F-111b up at Mojave?
If so, that's one of the few surviving unsuccessful Navy 111's.
I would have sworn that I saw several of them parked out back at China Lake, but there is only one reported there.

Not an expert, but from looking at -B pics on wiki, it appears so. Someone way back when told me it was an F-111, seemed like he was sure. I tried to find the rest of the pics I took that day, but I could only find a handful and they aren't full size.

Here's another edited shot of the plane in question:

And another one that I believe is the same type:

A little closer on the markings:

Looks like the yard has been cleaned up quite a bit over the years, and all the airframes removed.

Not that I like to agree with the out-going pres on anything-he's actually right on them being called: Bison. Buffalos are-those water buffalos many of you probably saw when serving some where in Asia. Other than that--I like Buffalo much better.:)

Mmmmmm, Carabao burgers cooked in a bar in Angeles City, PI. Delicious and juicy.

I took this photo just for this thread!

We were in Seattle for a couple days, and I wandered down to Pike Place Market, which is one of my favorite ways to kill time while waiting for my wife, who was shopping.

The "Gum Wall" is both fascinating and disgusting at the same time. The city cleaned the alley down to bare brick a while back (you can google before and after photos), but now it's almost back to its original glory.

I chewed a pack of Juicy Fruit once, and stuck a quarter to the wall. My next trip down there, the quarter was gone!

A Sneak Peak at my Wife's Drawers

Ah Ha! Gotcha! :D

When we built this buffet several years ago, I built a pull out drawer so her three in one slow cooker would have a home. She was a happy camper. Recently, she asked for another one that would occupy part of the open cabinet in the buffet. It had a shelf and a couple of baskets.

OK, some hard maple and a little woodworking magic, and VOILA! A second drawer is now in place and she has already started putting stuff away.

Hope you like it.
Mike
