Random Object Photographs

Found another fun random pic by hubby's grandfather, taken in NYC, 7-19-1950.

Road Trip

Grabbed another old photo from the in-laws.

Just saw this photo of my husband's maternal grandparents (couple on left) and a heavily laden car. I got a kick out of seeing the travel trunk and other belongings tied to the rear bumper.

I'm glad we don't have to do that anymore. My rope knot skills are terrible.

bigwheelzip, if you already explained your procedure for converting those old photos, ((they're great by the way)),and being able to post I missed it.

Would you let us know ?
My husband set up his parents with a new Windows computer system a few years ago, including a Brother printer/copy/scan/fax machine.
I just use the scan function of the printer's software, which has a maximum photo scan setting of 600/DPI (not exactly hi-def, but better than nothing). The scan preview allows the user to crop the pic and name the file.

I placed the scan files in a folder that gets automatically backed-up to the "cloud" and shared with the rest of the family via the internet. I upload the ones I share here on the forum to imgbb.

Here's an unusual one. It's hubby's paternal grandma on a dog cart at Montmorency Falls, Quebec. August 1958.
