Went for a short ride on my ATV today.
The building in the video is the mill at the Kimberly Mine.
I have permission to access the private property where the mine is located. Just me and whoever I take are the only ones who ride this trail. Back in the old days it was a logging road.
I took a similar shot a couple of years ago. My old neighborhood where I grew up has a street fair and car show once a year. As I was walking up the street from where I parked, I snapped this guy cruising by in what looks like a deuce roadster with a Chevy V8 mill up front. Some folks never grow up, and I applaud this one!

Gotta love those old traditional hot rods. Lots of today's wildly tricked out customs bear little or no resemblance to the original car, and often, the body is a reproduction. But rods such as the one in your photograph are timeless.
Glad this flatlander didn't full screen that vid.

Rocket's Red Glare, Bombs Bursting in Air...
We had a good fireworks show here tonight, especially compared to last year, which was very foggy.
It was a good Independence Day all around. I went to the parade, then went with friends to the cook-out at the museum, then BBQ'd steaks with those same friends later on, then watched the firework show from our deck. A very good day!
I took a mess of photos, these are a few of my favorites:

That's one of my favorite trails. Next to this one.
I took this picture yesterday.
Out west where I live that thistle is considered a invasive species or noxious weed and we kill all of it we can.
It is a cool looking weed though.
