We had an interloper last night. The clowder made short work of it but not before it cost me a lamp, a ceiling fan pull chain and my velvet Elvis.

Yesterday took a walk around a lake. Quite scenic:
At one point, saw an animal down below:
A closer look and it turned out to be an otter:
I was kinda surprised at the size of the thing. This bad boy was about the size of a medium-sized dog. The only other time I've seen otters around here they were about the size of a sleek cat. Maybe they're different kinds of otters, or maybe the others I saw were juveniles.
