Good to hear there are riders in the forum. I'm 71, been riding since 1963 and much well said in this thread. I started on Brit bikes back when and then Japanese and after CTS release surgery in 2000 & 2001 allowed me to not have "dead hands" I began riding again soon after.
I'm now in semi-retirement mode as result of a full tear rotator cuff surgery. I could easily ride now for a day ride of couple hundred miles but sure not ready for the longer tours.
I go in this p.m. for my 4 months doc check & am doing all PT at home now, no in house hands on PT from a therapist.
If your a long distance tourer and like the idea of winter riding south of the border, I'm both experienced at such and after this shoulder ordeal, hopeful I'll be down there next winter. I also have bucket list MC agendas for several SA countries too, PM me if you have interest,etc..
I was riding motorcycle in high school (in different country) always wanted to go back and finally last year couldn't resist the urge anymore Took MSF class and got back on two wheels. Here's son trying out my new ride
