Sometimes getting a revolver secured so you can use a milling machine on it is kind of hard. I wanted to drill out a stuck barrel pin and thought this up. Worked great. Very secure as long as you never did any heavy milling but then you don't do that on a frame anyway always small light work. Made a smaller set to fit an I frame and was able to trim the barrel and crown it, then mill a slot for a new front sight on a project 32 easily.
used 3/8" plate 3/8 NC bolts and some thin brass. I might make a longer outside piece someday for when I want to have the frame up and down. It would give me more options on how I put it in the vise. With this one the but must point back to clear vise base pivot and lock down
