Ruger 1911(Acme, by Whammo)
So Ruger is jumping on the bandwagon.....just in the nick of too late. I love the 1911 design like no other, but I think Ruger should go back to what they know and do well, Like Gutpile Charlie says.............,Wheelguns and 77's. As for the only 1911 being a Colt, there sure are some short memories for their "quality control" issues. Like anything man-made, it can be a great thing or a great big piece of junk. My 1958 National Match Colt is INCREDIBLE, but that is when they were hand-fitted and things were done with pride and prestige, not hurry-up and shove it out the door so the bean-counter is happy. My Dan Wesson is a reliable shooter, and my Wilson Combat is a great gun. My Sig P-220 is worthy of life-trust any day, all day!! OMG, they are not Colts!! Nice to stand behind a product or name, just realize they are all made by man and subject to short-comings. I'm sure Ruger will do just fine with the 1911 they put out as all the others have. Good luck to any firearms manufacturer of today as for all the GovernMENTAL Bravo Sierra and taxes they must be responsible for!!! JMO
