Was a yearly mope for years and years starting in '77. Finally was able to manage to bump to Life a few years ago and to Endowment last year. The current atmosphere gave me the gumption to bump to Patron a couple weeks ago. Been flying my colors as long as we could show them here.
I have also gifted annual memberships to folks on this site, seems the last big batch of gift memberships was in the NRA membership gift thread of 2009 IIRC. Also offered one here last week but the intended recipient hasn't made contact yet.

I have been an NRA member since 1979, when I bought my first gun.
Eventually I became a life member, and I have been fortunate to be able to become a Benefactor member over the years.
All it takes is a yearly membership to start out with.
It is only $25.00. We piss away more than that on stupid stuff.
If you think you can't afford to join, think again.
You can't afford not to.

The 19 year old grandson of the farmer I hunt pheasants with in SD has been writing some good pro 2A stuff on Facebook. I have known this kid since he was 3 or 3 as well as his brothers and sisters. I have given two of them shotguns and will eventually take care of all of them. I talked to the young man and signed him up. He wanted American Rifleman magazine as he says his dad gets the Hunter version.
