Paid $900 for 66-1 in 23/22. Dept marked w correct grips. Got it home & was positive I "overpaid"..not so much anymore.

I have heard mixed answers that some grips were serialized some where not so im kinda confused

There isn't much that can't be fixed with $20 bill and a good 66!

It'd be pretty special if you found a 2-1/2" 66 for $600. I'd say $800 is a good deal.

I own Four 2.5" 66's, the first was about $650 with box 11 years ago. Nowadays, i would say $800 is more than fair.

I suspect those stocks came from a revolver in the ##K#### range but..
after the three letter prefix, is your serial number 4529?
Can't recall any three letter prefix stocks that are serialized but if your 66-2 had the serial number 2#4K529, I would expect the stocks to say "4 529"
