I've taken some family to the range while they are here visiting, and I've acquired a few frames that show the muzzle flash while firing.
The people firing the guns are my nephew and my brother. For both of them I worked them up to the .44. I started with .38 wadcutters in a 686+ 4", then .38 +P's, then .357 Mags, then the switched over to the .357 snubby, then some tame .44 Magnums, and finally the .44 loads pictured. They both had a heck of a time.
The first is of a Model 29 classic firing 180 Gr Remington loads. These are loud and "flashy" loads. First, my nephew from last year on the .44:
And with a .357 Snubby:
Now my Brother from a few weeks ago with a .44. The first two are consecutive frames at 120 frames per second:
Now here are three interesting patterns from the 640 Pro. Notice the "butterfly" on one, and notice the fire ring again:
