Is there any way to mount a dot and keep the rear sight? Also, how far away was that?

I've got the 4.2" in .357. I bought it for a woods gun that I could always have on me, no matter the hiking/hunting attire, and had a barrel long enough to get the most of the round, yet be easy to carry. It handles the heaviest and hottest .357 out there just fine, the grip is small but works well and plinking with .38s is very enjoyable. I carry it mostly in a field type holster. I also had an IWB holster made for it and find myself often carrying it this way too. For some of my Sitka hunting pants that don't have real belts, this IWB with clip works fantastic! Great guns - very much overbuilt. As mention above, the factory trigger isn't the best. I plan on polishing it up some plus I've picked up a new set of springs from Wolff that I need to install. Apparently that helps quite a bit as well.

Have you tried longer range plinking with light .38s? Thinking if you can hit the head of a squirrel or rabbit it would still be intact for dinner with low velocity 38.
It's to make it legal for sale in Canada... handgun barrel length can't be less than 105 millimeters (4.1").
Tell me about the SP101 357 in 2.5, is it very hard to come by? I've come across one in 100% mint condition for $400, is that something I should be running back to get?

How many of their guns are sold in Canada anyway?
Can’t be very many. Maybe a couple of hundred per year?
Probably the same reason lots of out of the way stores in the marsh areas of south Louisiana carry lead turkey loads during duck seasonAs a long passed member here and a friend used to say "If it's illegal to carry a handgun in the bush, why does every trading post in the NW territories sell holsters?"
Anyone own these? What are your thoughts? What about extended accuracy for plinking? Seems like they would make a good trail gun.
