Starbuck Coffee

It's interesting that the OP had a pretty straightforward question: How best to store the coffee? Lots of reponses that don't attempt to answer that, but instead imply (or rather explicitly state) that he and everyone else is a sucker for even making the purchase. I don't know what's going on in society, but this kind of stuff is becoming more and more common.

FWIW, I think it's probably fine storing the unopened packages at room temp in the pantry, and storing in the freezer won't hurt anything. I would bring coffee beans to room temp before grinding or brewing.

Well................ Actually several posts contained information on storage. You would have to read them

Here is a link to the great decision::rolleyes:

How to Store Coffee Beans

Store 'em in the cupboard. Just try and use the stored ones within a couple months so as to maintain the freshness. As for the brand itself, bitter tasting and overpriced.

Wife bought new coffee, I love it. Smells like tobacco but tastes delicious :) And it has a nice lid on so no issues with getting a tight seal and storing it.

Two and a half months later and I am almost through with the forth bag of coffee, that I bought at the special sales price......

which I don't feel any pain for putting out the money for.

I rated all four and liked "Pikes" the best over all for flavor and taste, the way I brewed it.

On to new brans, and thanks for all the info that everyone put out there.

Still drinking local
Whiting Coffee.
Norm buys some of the best beans available and roosts them to perfection.
And I can go into his Roasting Room and Yank his chain!
What's not to like?
Just today I was in a Deli in Mountainair, NM.
Sandwich time!
I look around While waiting for my Sandwich.
They got Whiting Coffee.
Besides Slowboy Retail customers like me, Norm also has Wholesale Customers.

SB is overpriced bitter water.

The only reason DD tastes good is their creamer.

I drink Mickey D's, black. Only a buck but it's good coffee.

Tim Horton's, EXCELLENT coffee! My drip and K-Cup coffee of choice.

Wish we had full TH stores in NEPA. DD is overrated/overprices IMHO.

For years I drank Starbucks medium and dark roasts.

Then a friend had me try one of their 'blonde' roasts (Veranda I think). It's better than the darker roasts and has no bitterness. It also has more caffeine.

Kona and Blue Mountain Coffee are both superb but my new favorite, truely yummy coffee is locally roasted Whiskey Barrel coffee. None of these are money saving beverages, but they sure are good!

Starbuck's coffee good or bad?

The best way to find out is to ask
an unbiased brew drinker:

I like the Pike's roast. Then the breakfast Blend.

My favorite coffee was what my Mess Sergeant had for me,
any time of the day or night that I wanted a cup for the Colonel
and for myself. Can't beat that. :) :) :)

I drink quite a bit of coffee, black no sugar...

Starbucks tastes like a dirty ashtray to me. I don't know how people can drink it, flavor additives, sugar, no taste buds?

If you like it God bless but

I'm not a coffee snob at all but I never have cared for Starbucks coffee.

I don't care for their "beliefs" at all.

We have a SB here in a locally owned grocery store and I'll bet the young girls who work there are going to be voting for the same person I am.

If I did like their coffee I'd buy it to support our local business owners and the young girls who work there.

I know how to save 100% on coffee - never touch the stuff. Tea is a lot cheaper and usually better for you, with caffeine if you want it.

I think they probably use cheaper Caffea robusta beans, not better Caffea arabica beans and then over roast. A doctor warned me that she thinks their coffee has too much caffeine. I think it tastes awful.
