I'm using a Amazon.com: Midwest Industries Low Profile Gas Block, .750-Caliber: Sports & Outdoors@@AMEPARAM@@http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/31WnE2QIaXL.@@AMEPARAM@@31WnE2QIaXL. Fits great. Plenty of room although it is very close on the bottom where the bottom picatinny rail mount backing sits but it's still fine.
I think it does very well. The PRS is heavy - no doubt, but the combination of the TRX, the bipod, and the magpul grip seem to balance it quite nicely. I have long arms and so my length of pull is longer. I extend the butt pad to the max and I'll be adding a larger pad on there at that to also help absorb some recoil.
Make no mistake, this isn't a rifle that I'd want to carry for any period of time. I have a carbine for that. This was built for bench/prone shooting so I didn't really care about weight. It's not M1A heavy, but it's still heavier than it looks.
On a side note, I also have the Command Arms Accessories ARS Sharp Shooting Stock. I wasn't sure which one I'd like better. The Magpul PRS blows it out of the water in terms of quality and usability. There is no competition in my mind. I can elaborate if anyone is interested.

M&P 10
A M&P 10 followed me home yesterday. I have added a Redfield Counterstrike Red Dot Sight. And a set of Harris bipods . And I am thinking of changing the stock to a Magpul PRS. And I think I know what needs to be changed.
Is this what I need?
1. New buffer tube. (full size)?
2. Spacer S&W part number 432270000.
3. New spring?
4. New buffer?
5. Magpul PRS stock.
Please let me know if I need anything else. And if you know of good parts.

If you get the accessory S&W spacer, you can use your OEM spring and buffer.

I put a Mako GL-Shock on my M&P10 and yes if works fantastic.

After looking at at the GL-Shock stock and the $ I ordered one
from Cheeper Than Dirt. I had to drill out the role pin in my stock. It turned to be easer than I thought. I used a small drill bit and drilled through the pin to locate the other side then used a drill bit the same size as the pin. Then used a punch to remove the pine. I will post pictures of my M&P 10 when I have finished it.

Recived my GL-Shock stock today. And I must Say I like it. It is solid and tight as a tick. It took all of 30 seconds to install. I will post pic soon. Thanks H60sar!!

Guys I ordered the dpms extension bs-09 and I don't know if its A1 or A2 length. Anyone know if the buffer tube spacer works with either tube length?

My understanding is that internally there is no difference between A1 and A2, so you would use the spacer from S&W for either

I was wondering the same thing. I have two on order and the CS rep said that they were in stock at the time of my order.
Mine took about 14 days. But I didn't complain because it was free.

Has anyone tried installing a Magpul UBR stock? Will I need the same equipment as stated above? From what I understand the UBR is a collapisable stock, any information would be greatly appreciated! (New to the AR world so I don't really know what I am doing yet)
I was told it would be 4 to 6 weeks!! ACK!

I have been thinking about doing that. Should I put them in there one at a time or glue them together? Also, does the spacer go in first, then spring, then buffer?
