According to the article, the response team practices shooting through barriers and uses specific .308 ammo that performs consistently.

I suspect they have a lot of experience shooting through computer monitors. I know I've wanted to do that on many occasions!

This habitual crook had an extensive criminal history including drug trafficking, aggravated assault, CCW and was a convicted felon in several States. It makes me sick that he wasn't in prison for life, but he won't do anything like this again.

The consistency of the ammo is the easy part. Hornady and others make LEO ammo that is unreal for accuracy, I had on lot that put 20 @ 100 yards in the same hole and it could be covered with a dime! The hard part is the monitor! So many different thicknesses! A 90-degree shot to the surface would make it easier, but any angle and it starts adding unpredictability. That then multiplies as distance past the monitor increases. Well done!

That dude being used as a rest actually looked like he was having issues standing still, but that was a ballsy shot.
"Here's a thousand bucks to shoot my husband, and another grand to shoot that computer he met that woman on."
"Hang on, ma'am. I think I can save you a thousand."

"Firewall!" that was kinda funny, seeing he was a piece of garbage.
