My dear wife has what is called a Fatty Liver which has led to her liver being unable to do what it should. A donor giving part of their liver would solve the problem for her but age has caught up with her and she is no longer eligible for a transplant. It is hard to face the demise of a girl I have loved for 65 years. Prayers go out for the daughter and the family.

Well my sister is now completely free of tubes except for an IV. This afternoon they will see if she can start swallowing liquids. They figure about another week in ICU. 2 days in a row with all positives

I am sorry for what is happening. I also know just how helpless you feel not being able to help and protect your partner. I lost my wife to a incurable brain tumor. Just be there for her

Well, this sucks. My younger sister who went down there says it looks like the new liver isn't doing enough and probably isn't going to work out. If it doesn't Marla will go to the top of the list for another liver. But, it ain't good. Sister is sometimes lucid and other times kind of lost. I am going down there this Sunday to spend a few days.
